We took this tour to give us a taste of Tuscany and it really hit the spot. The tour guide had an art history education and knew much more than art! She described herself as also a problem solver and she delivered us from a serious mistake - bring your passports! Being fluently bilingual helped. Sienna is a marvel and the local guide blew us away. The cathedral and it's story compared with nothing else. The private vineyard visit was a treasure; we saw how it was all done; touched the vines; tasted several wines paired with sumptuous bites; we tasted not only wine but also olive oils and balsamic vinegars...we had some shipped home. Again our host was knowledgeable and fun. Florence is lovely and the highlight, The David just has to be seen. Again the guide was exceptional. We did not have time to see the Uffizi Galleries but again the two guides tried hard to have us fit it in. The push-and-pull of Italian city histories made our head spin...and our guide patiently explained them more than once...as we asked our questions. At the end of this tour, the guide set us up on our quest to see more of Rome and happily answered our follow-up questions. I can't speak more highly of her.
