Claudio is the ultimate gentleman with surely the most beautify authentic boat in Ponza. He hosted my family for the most exceptional day and was an incredible guide around Ponza, even guiding and swimming with us through the caves. His restaurant recommendations were all elite and he was a total pleasure to spend the day with. He is a kind of celebrity in Ponza and opened many doors for us during our stay.

Unique experience!!! Two unforgettable days thanks to Captain Claudio, who with his Zannone 1954 made us experience unique emotions. We explored the wonderful views of Ponza and Palmarola. His stories conveyed his love and passion for his land to us. We couldn't have made a better choice!!

This experience was not a vacation highlight, it was a life highlight! We booked one day each around Ponza and neighboring Palmarola and had a fully customizable itinerary for swimming, snorkeling, stops for lunch, and about 1,000 stunning photos. Claudio is the ultimate host who went above and beyond expectations and whose passion for his boat and beautiful island are truly infectious. We enjoyed Campari spritzes, fruit, and beer on board and stopped each day for delicious seafood lunches arranged by Claudio (and then rearranged to better suit the weather forecast!) I hope to be back soon and spend the day in the turquoise coves again and can’t recommend this experience enough.

It was a pleasure to discover the lovely island of Ponza with Claudio. We spent the day swimming in beautiful coves with crystal clear water that we will remember for years to come. We were a large group of friends celebrating a birthday and had an incredible time. Claudio loves his boat and he loves his island. If you are interested, he will share with you the history of them both. We were struck by his passion and genuine enthusiasm for what he does. We highly recommend this experience!

We had an amazing day on Claudio Romano’s Zannone 1954 boat! Because Claudio grew up in Ponza, he knew all of the best places to see on Ponza. We made multiple stops and all of them were fantastic. He also shared the history, geography, and his own personal experiences with us. It was a most memorable day on his special boat. We experienced firsthand why Claudio consistently receives five star reviews. For anyone visiting Ponza, a day on Zannone 1954 is a must.

Claudio was an AMAZING guide for the day. Very knowledgeable about ponza island since he grew up there and is 4th generation owning his beautiful boat. My husband and I were visiting Ponza for our "baby-moon" (a celebratory trip before I have our baby in Feb) and the boat trip with Claudio was perfect for swimming and seeing the beautiful coast of Ponza while relaxing in the shade under the canopy. One of the many highlights of the day was swimming through natural caves! The water was soo beautiful everywhere. Claudio also went out of his way to book us a lunch reservation at a beautiful sea side restaurant, and TWO dinner reservations for the last two days of our trip. We would highly recommend spending your day with Claudio. You would be lucky to ride on the Zannone for the day!!

Sailing on a boat so rich in history makes the excursion even more evocative. We discovered spectacular coves and corners of the island, reachable only by sea, enjoying the crystal-clear water and the relaxed atmosphere that only a day on a boat can offer. A special thanks goes to Captain Claudio, a long-haul captain with international experience, who is attentive, professional, helpful, fair, and impeccable. A daydream! Spending a few hours on the Zannone 1954 is unparalleled. An antique gozzo, specifically a "Ponzese felucca," in 10-meter mahogany, cared for in every detail, comfortable, but above all, elegant. A jewel of the sea! Claudio, the captain and owner for four generations, is a wonderful person with old-fashioned manners; he lets you live a unique experience by telling the history and origins of Ponza aboard his Zannone.
