Very nice experience, really a marvel in show production and design. We didn't really understand the story in detail due to our lack of command in Chinese, but the visuals really tell them. Great acting, sound design, and the stage is just so beautiful. We chose the seats that were rotating as well so it was quite an experience. Highly recommend!

Chongqing 1949 is a mix of play and musical with sensational stage technology. The show is in Chinese, but we receive headphones with English translation, the stage rotates, the auditorium rotates, the performers rappel from the ceiling, and it was an unforgettable experience!! It describes the role of the city in the resistance against the Japanese occupation, intertwined with a family story. Great performers, good voices, a sensational experience!
Wow! Technology and emotion. There is a free audio guide (150 RMB deposit) available only in English. It generally helps to understand what is happening (but that is the only thing I did not find exceptional... they could improve the translation for foreigners).
