Bianca was our guide and she was wonderful! We got to go to five different spots and the walking was pretty easy given the hills in Lisbon. We sampled several delicious traditional dishes accompanied by wine (and one beer) along the way and the servings were generous. More importantly, the hosts were all family run businesses with long standing roots and traditions in Lisbon. We got thorough explanations of everything we were trying, with a side of history from Bianca, who had quite the sense of humor and got us to play a few low pressure games. At the end we stopped at an authentically curated gift shop with locally made items (Patria Rustica) along with a taste of cherry liquor in a dark chocolate cup. I highly recommend this tour!

Good food, great tour!
This was an enjoyable, informative, and delicious way to explore the Alfama. Our guide Francisco was charming and knowledgeable. He made sure everyone in our small group felt included, encouraging us to tell our stories and share our travel experiences in Portugal. The food, wine, and conversation flowed. What a great way to spend part of the day in Lisbon!

This is our second time doing this tour. We did it back in 2019 and enjoyed it so much that we decided to do it again when we visited this August.

All family owned local restaurants!
Bianca was amazing! She has a background in giving historical tours so combined with that and the food, she really painted a full picture of the food, history, and culture of Alfama! The tour supports all family local owned restaurants and the food was delicious! Highly recommend!

Take the tour!!
What a fabulous walking and tasting experience! If you’re on the fence, do it! Our guide Francisco was amazing! Knowledgeable and you can tell he enjoys meeting new people, gathering insights and proud of what Lisbon has to offer in food, wine, and history. The walk wasn’t bad at all (knowing now that Lisbon is very hilly). Met a great group of travelers. Many laughs had. Just an awesome tour! And also perfect amount of time to explore!

Brilliant experience!
This was a great tour. Our guide Bianca was knowledgeable and super charming. She quickly made the group feel comfortable. We had a great time tasting the wines and traditional dishes. We had loads to eat and were stuffed by the end of the tour. It was very good value.

A Must-Do Lisbon Experience
I would highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a truly unforgettable and authentic Portuguese experience! Our guide, Francisco, was absolutely fantastic. He was incredibly knowledgeable, informative, and thorough, while also bringing such great energy and enthusiasm to the experience. What really stood out was Francisco’s passion for Portuguese food, culture, and traditions. He shared so much insight into the history and traditions behind the foods we tasted, making the experience feel much more meaningful than simply a food tour. He also took the time to get to know each of the guests, which created such a warm, personal, and welcoming atmosphere. And, of course, the food was incredible! We sampled so many delicious traditional Portuguese specialties that we were definitely NOT hungry when we left! Thank you Francisco for a truly memorable experience!

Must for foodies in Lisbon
Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and friendly! The variety of food offerings was excellent and very much enjoyed! We did not feel rushed at all and appreciated the post-tour recommendations. Definitely come hungry to eat. Also to note, we received 18 food courses but did not stop at 18 restaurants

Top notch company - you can trust them
Can’t tell about the tour but I can say the company is excellent. We had to cancel last minute because of an injury that morning. They were very gracious and gave us a partial refund that they didn’t have to do - they had pre-paid for the food and made accommodations for my wife’s gluten allergy. They even followed up to see how I was doing. Wonderful people.
