I had the best evening with Vivian during our food tour in Da Nang. The tour was very well laid out, so there wasn't too much walking but you still got to see some cool parts of town - perfect even when it is rainy or very hot.
The restaurant choices were really great as only locals ate there and the food was very good. Obviously I liked some more than others (the banh nam was my favorite) but overall I was well impressed. And you don't eat at 15 different restaurants but get multiple dishes at some so the tour doesn't become too crazy. Also, fear not - you don't have to try anything too out there though I will say, if you are a vegetarian you are missing out - the seafood and especially the pork dishes were the best.
Vivian was very mindful and fun, giving great insight of the dishes as well as the history of the restaurants and I could ask her all my silly questions about Da Nang.

Worth every second!
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed this experience. Our guide Stephanie was awesome, she has a wealth of knowledge and a great sense of humor. Every stop we made had a story and great food to back it up. We learnt a lot and ate even more! Make sure to go hungry.

Food tour Da Nang
Our guide, Stephanie, was great! She was very informative about the city history, food history, food preparation, and food contents. All food was very good, but go very hungry as there are many stops and much food to eat! I highly recommend this tour! It was well worth the money!

TRY LOCAL
Stephanie ensured that our Da Nang Food Tour went off without a hitch. Although unbeknown to us, we booked on a traditional vegetarian day, we only missed out on one tasting. This was replaced with an extra dessert, both of which were super tasty. It was great trying many local dishes, prepared the traditional way and has given us a much needed confidence boost that we can enjoy the delicious local fare. Very informative history, food and culture.

Delicious Da Nang
We were lucky to have Stephanie as our guide on this new tour around the old town of Da Nang. Her English was exceptional and she was able to introduce us to over 15 separate courses and dishes along streets, inside small restaurants and at food carts that we never would have found ourselves. We also got some history of the area and local knowledge of the best Vietnamese coffee we should try during the rest of our trip. The banh nam (flat rice flour dumplings with minced shrimp and pork) were pretty much worth the tour price alone! This is the 6th Chefs Tour we have now been on in our 3rd different country and will always seek it out when we visit a new destination. Every time we are surprised with new flavours and experiences that we would never have found on our own and that are not on the typical social media influencer radar. It’s a must try if you want an authentic taste of Da Nang.

A fantastic insight into Central Vietnamese cuisine
My husband and I recently joined A Chef’s Tour in Da Nang and had a fantastic experience. We were lucky enough to have a private tour, which meant we could take our time, ask plenty of questions, and learn much more about the local food culture.
Our guide, Stephanie, was warm and friendly. As well as introducing us to some really tasty dishes, she shared interesting insights into daily life in Da Nang, how the city has changed over the years, and what it was like growing up in nearby Hoi An.
Over the course of the evening, we visited everything from roadside stalls to casual local eateries and family-run restaurants, sampling an impressive variety of regional specialities. Some of my favourite dishes included the delicate clam broth, juicy grilled prawns, noodles with grilled pork and rich peanut sauce, and sticky rice topped with minced pork.
If you're visiting Da Nang - particularly if it's your first time exploring Central Vietnam- I really recommend booking this tour. It's a really fun way to discover regional specialities, learn about the ingredients and cooking techniques behind the dishes, and gain a much deeper appreciation of the local food scene.
