Great tour through the small roads of Gion with stops at 2 great restaurants. The local guide spoke fluent English and gave us a lot of information about the cuisine and local area.

Had a lovely tour with Merisa, we went to two restaurants. And eat a lot of Nice food.

Sara was the best guide. She was friendly and informative. Highly recommend the tour. Food was excellent!!! We even had stingray!

Really enjoyed the Kyoto Gion and Poncho Food Tour. Great to try lots of different dishes and learn about the local cuisine. Great knowledgeable and entertaining guide. The restaurant visited were hidden gems. Highly recommend.

Kazuma was a great guide - good communication & clear directions; would absolutely recommend him. I did wish we got to go to a few different places (tour only stopped at 2 eateries) with a bit more of a focus on different food styles of Kyoto. Price for the amount of food we ate was worth it!

Fantastic evening in Gion and Pontocho! Kanta was an excellent guide, knowledgeable, warm, and genuinely funny, which made the whole night feel like exploring with a friend rather than following a tour. The balance was spot on. Fascinating history and stories about Gion's backstreets and Pontocho's alleyways were woven between genuinely delicious dishes. We were taken to small local spots we'd never have found on our own, tucked away from the main streets. What really stood out was how well our dietary restrictions were handled. Every stop was prepared, substitutions were seamless, and we never felt like we were missing out on anything. Great food, great stories, great company. If you're in Kyoto, do this tour early in your trip. You'll see the city differently afterward.

The guide shared some interesting history and we had great food and drinks! At the start, I was a bit worried there wouldn’t be enough food but it ended up being very filling.

There was four of us at the tour spot and no guide after we got a message the previous day showing us the location. We messaged them through whatsapp and 40 minutes after the tour was started they messaged to say the guide was sick. I don't believe this is true as surely they would have told us before the tour started that the guide was sick. Very disappointing and wouldn't recommend people to book with them l. They wanted me to cancel the booking which we didn't do as we wanted to leave this review to warn other people and are waiting for a refund.

Loved the tour! Had excellent food and Kazuma was a great guide!

It was a great tour - a great mix of food, history and fun. Kazuma is a wonderful guide. I will definetely recommend this tour to my friends.
