My wife and I joined a group who visited Ethiopia just before the recent war there. We were fortunate to have had Sisay as our local guide for the first days of our journey. We started from Addis Ababa and then we headed north. Sisay was amazing, prompt, and extremely knowledgeable in subjects ranging from history, ethnology, geology to religion. He is a walking encyclopedia of relevant knowledge. He speaks English very well and communicates his knowledge effectively. Sisay was very well read and helpful with our needs.

Sisay has been an extraordinary guide from the beginning to the end. He has understood directly what we wanted to see in Ethiopia and gave us all the information we needed (historical, religious, cultural). He has been extremely friendly and carrying all along the 12 days trip. We always felt safe. I particularly enjoyed the stay in Lalibela, where Sisay comes from. I will definitely ask him for another tour when I come back to Ethiopia.
