We had a seamless pickup from our resort with very good communication about timing. We arrived at the venue and joined the event which was held at a lovely family winery. It should be noted that this is not a small group tour but rather a scheduled event in which many groups can book spaces. Our session had around 40 people and the owner explained end to end wine making process with a walk in the vineyard and distillery with off the vine grape tasting. He also spent time explaining the wines that we tasted (around 5) and gave some really useful tips about getting the best flavour from the wine in the glass as well as bottles in terms age of whites vs reds. This was followed by a hands on cooking session and tasty meal. Jason has a very engaging personality and everyone had a lot of laughs and there were smiles all around (even before the wine started flowing). His team was efficient and kind. Our drop-off following the event was without issue. Highly Recommended way to spend an afternoon away from the historical sites and the beaches.
The whole vibe kinda upscale, but not stuffy. It's a nice setting, usually someplace pretty, like a vineyard or something. Service is on point they're there when you need them, but not hovering.
The experience waz well organized, with each dish carefully paired with a complementary drink that elevated the flavors. The ingredients were fresh, the recipes were authentic and final dishes? Simply delicious.
I got tp learn how to matcg local wines with fresh, traditional dishes and then cook them myself. The flavours were unreal, and the whole vibe was so relaxed and fun.
The cooking class in a tucked away village with chef Maria a local legend who taught us to whoop real Rhodia dishes. The pairing part? Genius. We sipped local wines and earthy olive oils while Maris explained how each flavor complemented the dishes like a tasty science lesson.
This excursion was excellent. The speaker was clear, funny and answered all questions about the vineyards and the food. The meal was outstanding and after tasting their 7 varieties, we each chose our favorite for lunch. Highly recommend.
The wine and food were delicious! Jason was wonderful on explaining and answering questions about his family’s winery.
