WOW!!! What an epically incredible adventure Jordan is! Delicious food, great hotels, magnificent landscapes, stunning scenery, mind-boggling history, and some of the most wonderful people in the world! Hi, I’m Greg from Australia, and these are my impressions of the 11-day, 10-night Panorama Jordan tour with Jordan Horizons Tours (JOHT). My journey through this tour was facilitated by my (now) good friend, Hisham Abu Hlalah who drove and arranged the specialist guides and special visits along the way. Hisham seems to know everybody in Jordan and particularly put me in touch with specialist guides in Dana, Petra, Wadi Rum, and Amman. He recommended excellent places to eat and shop for souvenirs (many of these places supporting worthy causes within Jordan) and provided invaluable information and insights along the way. Hisham also knows the very best photo opportunity locations along the route - and slightly off the route as well, so that you do not miss anything! A particularly helpful talent to have on your side when you arrive from the other side of the planet with a headful of jetlag and a new camera to try out (as I did). He is the most excellent of travel companions! Hisham also has an excellent network of friends as guides, such as these wonderful people: - Abdul and Ishmael who took me on a breathtaking hike on a trail in the valley below Dana in which I saw rock formations to excite the most experienced geologist (and creative photographer), a bewildering array of plant and small animals, as well as a delightful sage tea under a shady tree at the end of it! Ma’moun, who guided me through the highlights of the extensive Petra site from the Great Temple, through to the Treasury and all the places in between, as well as a donkey ride to save my legs from the long, steep parts. His knowledge of the site is astonishing – from its ancient and modern history to it structure, construction and operation, not only as a city but also as an archeoastronomical observatory as well (an interest which, it turns out, we both share). Hussein who was so generous with his time and local knowledge showing me the absolute magic that is Wadi Rum! From the camel ride to the sites of ancient Nabatean petroglyphs on rock walls, and the stunning rock and sand formations of the Wadi Rum Protected Area. It was part of the setting for Lawrence of Arabia and looks like it could be the next setting for Tatooine if they make another Star Wars movie! And finally, my guide for my visit to the Amman Citadel, whose great knowledge and insight into the history, design and construction of the site, as well as much good humour – learning and laughing all the way – made it a memorable visit indeed! The food in Jordan is wonderful! Made from simple ingredients such as you might grow in your own garden, but blended and served with a kaleidoscope of delicate herbs and spices to produce light-tasting, refreshing, but immensely satisfying dishes. Then there is the surprising black coffee with cardamom (my new favourite), and the never-to-be-forgotten sweet black tea with either sage or mint. A balanced, nutritional diet never tasted so good! Then there are the smiles of the people of Jordan. Each one warm, genuine and inviting. Each one saying “Welcome to Jordan, my new friend. Relax, and enjoy!” Rarely have I experienced such a consistently warm greeting from a country’s people. Tour administration and booking was handled for JOHT by Mohamed Jibreen and Nour Abbadi with timely clarity and efficiency. Communications via both email and WhatsApp was detailed and precise – exactly what you need when you are seven time zones and 14,000 km away – and full of useful, actionable information. This covered everything from booking, payment, Visa application process (the “Jordan Pass”), through meet-and-greet at the airport airside (which is very useful) and a “welcome to Jordan personal phone call! A final word – Safety. Despite the uncertainties in the world at present (August 2026) they had no impact at all on my tour, even travelling solo, as I was. It did not change my decision to travel, the time I intended to spend in Jordan, nor my selection of this particular tour and its included destinations/activities. I was just as safe in Jordan as I would be having a night out in my hometown of Brisbane (Australia) – perhaps even safer! To the people I have mentioned above, to others whom I met but have not mentioned, and to the people of Jodan in general, I say Shkran lak (Thank You)! And to you, dear reader of this review, I thoroughly recommend Jordan, this tour, and its people to you. Do yourself a favour – go to Jordan and share in the magic!

Our 10-day tour with Jordan Horizon Tours was flawless from start to finish. We’ve traveled a lot, but Jordan was something truly special. It’s not only Petra and Wadi Rum but all of the other history the country has and they showed it to us. We traveled as a couple and were impressed by the seamless organization and communication from them each day. The hotels chosen by them were very nice and clean with a delicious breakfast each morning. The vehicle we were driven in was very comfortable to travel around the country in. Aida from the reservation and sales team was incredibly responsive, always ready with helpful tips and tailored our trip with extra days. Special thanks to our driver Aladdin, who felt more like a good friend showing us his country than just our driver. We highly recommend this tour company in Jordan!

All nice and well organized the trip by comfortable car with wi fi and the driver who leaves Italian year made the difference for the better. The places visited are fantastic and very varied.

We had a 12 night tour (standard itinerary - Jerash to Aquaba and all points in between). We loved the country, its sights, its culture, its food and its people. Itinerary was overall well chosen by Aida Abu, who was very responsive before and during the trip. Quality of hotels and restaurants was excellent with 1-2 rustic and minor exceptions. We had a private car and driver, Aladdin, who was first class - excellent English, companionable, hospitable, open, knowledgeable, willing and, most importantly, a very good driver

We just finished an 11 day tour of jordan with jordan horizons tours, we were a group of 8 friends with a 5yo child and we wad such a great time , we stayed in multiple cities including wadi rum desert . Aida ,from jordan horizons tours who arranged our trip, was AMAZING , very present to all our needs and so helpfull to every little problem that we had , wich was very few tbh , both our driver and our guide were great , super polite and accommodating to our needs. We felt 100% safe throughout our journey , jordanian people are so nice and helpfull . Their tourism has taken a hit for no reason because of the situation in the area wich is unfair cause jordan is perfectly safe and has so much beaty in sights , nature and people. I 100% recommend this trip we had such a great time there..❤️

The Jordon Horizon Tours team is exceptional! From Aida's meticulous planning and responsiveness to my various requests, to Hisham's incredible insights and connections that he generously shared, this was a phenomenal experience. We are just finishing of our 13 day tour of Jordan with Jordan Horizon tours (JHT). It was a very last minute plan and we booked our tickets only 10 days prior to our visit. We will give my review in 5 parts - planning, itinerary, visa and immigration, accommodation, transport and guides. Right from the time we emailed JHT about our plan to visit Jordan, Mohammad from their team shared his WhatsApp number for communicating further. He has been very responsive to all requests and gave some great suggestions to build up the itinerary for 2 weeks according to our interests. Our arrival and departure was from Aqaba. After doing some research and some tips from Mohammad, we decided to customise the 11 day Jordan panoramic tour itinerary which can be found on JHT's website. Once the itinerary was set, he sent us out a detailed description of each day's activities, and our accommodation to confirm everything was set. We started in Wadi Rum where we spent 2 days in a Bedouin camp of which we spent a day hiking the highest mountain in Jordan the Jebel Um Ad dami. From Wadi rum we went to Petra to spend 2 more days to explore the city. From Petra we visited Dana Biosphere Reserve where we spend 2 days and 1 night at the Feynan Ecolodge. These two days we did two of the most amazing hikes you can do in Jordan - the Wadi Dana trail and the Wadi Ghuweir trail. After Dana we headed to Amman visiting the Karak Castle, Madaba and Mount Nebo on the way. We then spent 3 days in Amman exploring the cities of Amman, As Salt and Jerash, visiting the ruins in Umqais, the desert castles and Shaumari wild life reserve. From Amman we headed to the dead Sea to spend a day, staying at the Ramada Resort. After the dead sea, we went back to Aqaba to spend our last 3 days. We were planning to spend time on the beach and do some snorkeling or diving but the weather isn't great for that so we are basically chilling out in the hotel the last 2 days before heading back. There are a lot of blogs online which describe how incredible these places are so I will keep it short saying words will feel a lot less once you have experienced it. As we arrived in Aqaba airport, we were met with one of JHT's agents with a placard with our names on it. We skipped the queues as he took us through the visa and immigration which was pretty much smooth sailing. In no time we were out of the airport on our way to the hotel on Aqaba. Our accommodation in Amman (larsa hotel) and petra (tetra tree Hotel) were 3 star. Our hotel in Aqaba (Al Raad hotel) was supposedly a 3 star but we think it was more of a 2 star as the WiFi connectivity was poor and didn't have coffee / tea in the room. They were all of high cleanliness standards and the hotels in Amman and Petra also had great pool and fitness facilities. The breakfast in all hotels was also very nice. The Ramada Resort in the Dead Sea is at least a 4 star if not better. Excellent room with a balcony view into the dead sea, a private beach on the dead sea, excellent pool, spa and jacuzzi and a lavish selection of breakfast. The bedouin camp in Wadi Rum was also decent considering we are in the middle of a desert. Clean tents and common toilet facilities. Food was exceptional! Feynan Ecolodge is ranked as one of the top 25 eco lodges in the world. So I probably don't need to say much - don't miss out on staying at this place which emulates energy efficiency, nature conservation and empowering local communities to the highest standards. The stargazing and moon watching experience through their telescope and the vegetarian meals they serve are hard to beat. We were pretty happy with the choice of accommodations JHT booked us. We were driven around the country in a Toyota Camry and where needed (e.g. Wadi Rum desert, Dana off road paths to hiking points etc.) we were transferred to 4x4 vehicles. All transport was comfortable and great efforts were taken to ensure there is always enough water bottles available in the car/jeep. The Camry also had a Wi-Fi thanks to our guide about whom you will read more below. The best is always saved for the last - The people! We might run out of superlatives to describe our guides who turned our experiences into memories that we will never forget. Our main guide for the trip was Hisham Hale. Hisham was with us through out the trip barring the last 2 days in Aqaba. A funny guy, down to earth, very safe driver, punctual, loves his country to the core and goes the extra mile to help people and ensure tourists have the best experiences in his country. He was alo very proactive to check the weather and flexible to amend the itinerary according to the weather vs activities. Hisham took us to his friend's place in his home town of Petra to spend an evening with the locals and enjoy a sumptuous home cooked Jordanian specials. He took us to some of the best local restaurants (not very expensive but delicious food) in each of the cities we visited and always had fruits in the car for us. He also took us to good places to buy handicrafts and dead sea products. As our trip ended, he took us out for a meal and he left us with some sand art and local crafts as gifts for us. Hisham is much more than just a guide!! For our hikes, Hisham arranged us a bedouin guide, Suleiman Hassaseen. He has an exceptional skill of keeping people engaged in conversations and with him hiking 16km over 5 hours seem like a walk in the park. His knowledge, his life style and the experiences he carries are commendable. He also invited us to his bedouin tent for tea. Despite his minimalistic life style where electricity is also a luxury, he is one of the happiest persons we met in Jordan. We were certainly left overwhelmed by these two guys. We had 2 other guides, Mahmun for showing us petra and Mustafa for showing us Jerash. They were very knowledgeable about these sites and gave us some great insights into history and archaeology of these places. On the whole JHT have give us exceptional service and some fantastic friendships along with the great experiences Jordan has to offer for its tourists. We would highly recommend them to anyone.
