We enjoyed our time in Fukuoka with Ten. He is a young college student who doesn’t have some of the finesse of other tour guides due to his inexperience . It was a walking tour exploring the area. He took us to an authentic Japanese restaurant for lunch. We walked around the park and castle ruins… Unfortunately he didn’t have a great plan for us to get back to the cruise ship and it became a little anxiety provoking to find a cab.

Bruce did a great job to tailor the tour to suit our interests & did well to show us the highlights in the time that we had. He also arranged the tour to suit the weather as it was raining at the time. Bruce had a great knowledge of the places that we visited and we shared stories about travel and adventures. Luis gave my family a great tour of Fukuoka! We had one afternoon, and no idea what we wanted to see. The tour covered our interests in food, culture and history, while accommodating our slower pace. 3 hours was a perfect length for us, but I have no doubt there was more to see and stories to tell. We found Luis to be a great fit, as he was warm and genuine with a sense of humor. Coming from the US, with no Japanese language skills, his leadership was very comfortable. Our guide has spent time planning our trip just after I booked the excursion, taking care of details what our preferences. Within 4 hours we covered different aspects of the city, from historial shrine, street scapes, witness people queling up for buy their favorate snacks, shopping streets with stunning waterfalls, nice city park with lakes and a lovely Japanese gardens, and few traditional residential streets. Experiencing travel on the underground train system to various sections of the city and as well as walking. A very nice experience!

Mike was a great tour guide with a wealth of knowledge and history of the area. He spoke English very well. His depth of local history made the walk very interesting and most enjoyable . He also was a lot of fun to chat with and a good sense of humour as we strolled around for 3 hours. Would happily do it again!! I highly recommend this tour.
