The ship was comfortable and the WiFi worked well enough to check emails which was a relief. I didn’t expect to enjoy the guided parts as much as I did. Our guide in Luxor was very knowledgeable but also brief he didn’t ramble. He pointed out the graffiti on the columns at Karnak left by ancient tourists which I found hilarious. The highlight for me was the hot air balloon ride over the West Bank. It’s an extra cost but worth it. Seeing the temples and the green strip of the Nile from above gave me a perspective you can’t get on the ground. I met a few other solo travelers and we had dinner together on the ship. The staff were professional and didn’t hover. I would recommend this trip to colleagues who want a cultural experience without the backpacker vibe.
