Our tour with Terri was truly fantastic, she was engaging, insightful and funny, and gave us a great introduction to the culture of Osaka through its excellent food. We left happy and very full!
We loved having you join Secret Food Tours! It’s always nice to spend time with guests who are curious about the city and ready to explore. We’d be happy to show you around again.
Micky was an incredible tour guide! She took us to a local hangout shopping mall which was less crowded than the main tourist areas. We loved everything we ate, especially the fresh made taiyaki. Micky took our preferences into consideration with each stop. At the udon shop she even ordered me fresh plum juice since I love plums. She was very knowledgeable and friendly and recommended a few other spots for us to try later on. She also took some photos for us. Highly recommend this tour to hit all iconic Osaka foods!
Thanks for coming out with Secret Food Tours while you were in town. We hope you enjoyed the chance to experience the city from a different perspective. We’d love to have you along again someday!
The experience was great, the tour guide took us around to many places and explained so much about the Japanese and local Osaka culture and history. We had delicious food and got to ask several questions as we went along.
We’re pleased the tour gave you a chance to experience the city from a local perspective. Our guide enjoyed introducing you to the food and places that make the area special. Thank you for joining Secret Food Tours!
If you are coming to Osaka and want to experience the food scene like a true local, you have to book this tour! Mickey was an incredible guide—friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to show us hidden spots away from the usual tourist traps. We got to sample so many amazing regional dishes in authentic, local venues. Mickey explained the culture behind everything we ate and made the whole experience so much fun. It was easily one of the best highlights of our trip. Highly recommended!
We appreciate you joining us during your travels. We hope the tour provided a well-rounded look at the food and neighborhoods that make the destination distinctive. Thank you for being our guest at Secret Food Tours!
Our food tour with Miki was fun and interesting. We were the only people on the tour and some places were closed because of a holiday. In some ways it felt like our guide was asking us what we wanted to eat and stopping where it was available. There was not a set menu or smaller portions when we went to different places so we got full very quickly. I think we expected a bit more of a formal tour but the experience was unique, our tour guide was a lot of fun and she was very generous with letting us try whatever we wanted. She also tried very hard to accommodate my daughter's food preferences. In addition our guide, Miki, took us to a store to buy Japanese sweets and helped us pick out the best ones. Miki speaks English perfectly and is super friendly and chatty. We would recommend this tour and guide.
We appreciated the chance to show you around. We hope you enjoyed the places we selected and the stories that came with them. It was a pleasure having you with Secret Food Tours!
Mickey was absolutely wonderful! Very engaging, a wealth of information and took us to places we would have never known to visit on our own. Many food tours are in the more touristy areas (Kuromon market, etc), and we appreciated that this was a little different. It's still easy to get to by subway but feels much more authentic. Everything we ate was delicious, and we were stuffed by the end! Highly recommend.
We appreciate you coming along with us. Your kind words are a pleasure to read, and we look forward to welcoming you back to Secret Food Tours!
This tour was amazing! Rie knew the amazing local places to eat, and also introduced us to places in Osaka that we would never have known! Sweet, kind, and funny- we highly recommend this tour if you’re looking to experience Osaka in its finest !
We're grateful you chose to join us! It's wonderful to know the tour became such an enjoyable part of your time in the city, and we're glad you took a moment to let us know. We'd love to welcome you back to Secret Food Tours.
Great experience. Mickey was a helpful and knowledgeable guide. Food was a good mix of several snacks and 2 full entrees. Some were along the market and some were tucked away. Experience felt more authentic, especially since it was away from the tourist areas of Kuromon,Dotonbori, etc. Highly recommend but come hungry! Start location is quite busy so arrive early.
Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts! Your review is appreciated, and so is the opportunity we had to welcome you. We look forward to seeing you again with Secret Food Tours.
Great food tour. Guide was very engaging & provided good historical & cultural context. Might suggest sweets go last. 😋
