Extraordinarily brilliant tour. We saw everything we wanted to see in Tasmania. Our guide ‘Wombat’ was extremely knowledgeable and excellent. The accommodation and food also surpassed our expectations. We have travelled in a lot of tours and countries but this tour is definitely one of the best we have ever done. Highly recommend this trip if you want to get a deep immersion into all Tasmania has to offer. You can pick your level of walks or not walk at all. Can’t fault this trip.

Absolutely brilliant. We loved it. Highly recommend to anyone. What we were able to achieve in this tour was so much more than we would have been able to do on our own.

If I had to describe this tour in one word, it would be..”WOW”!! This was THE BEST small tour I have ever been on! The organisation was superb, our tour guide Anthony was an amazing, passionate and knowledgeable local, our fellow passengers have become friends and Tasmania was simply spectacular at every turn…”WOW”!

We had a wonderful 10 days on the lap of the map of Tassie with Anthony. So many amazing sights and all backed up with Anthony's vast knowledge and stories. Very good value for money and accommodation was of a great standard. So nice to have most of meals catered too. It was a real holiday as we were treated so well and met some beautiful forever friends. Totally recommend 👌

This was a terrific tour around Tasmania. It hit all the highlights. Our guide, Keygun, was wonderful. He was very helpful and informative about everywhere we went.

An amazing tour of a wonderful place. In our ten days we covered pretty much all of Tasmania and learned an incredible amount of the history, geology, botany etc. Our guide Wombat was the best we have every experienced in many years of travel. He kept the group entertained with facts and stories. We would highly recommend anyone considering visiting Tasmania take this tour. The accommodations provided were very good and the dinners were excellent. This was classed as a Comfort Tour and we are 70+ year olds and found the range of activities was perfect for us and there were always options for the hikes. Very well organized and moved along at a nice pace. Very good value in our opinion. Do not hesitate.

Had the most enjoyable trip in Tasmania. Our very experienced local guide, Anthony, brought us on many short walks with most rewarding sights.

Keygan was an awesome guide. He knew seemingly everything about the flora, fauna, culture, politics and history of Tasmania. He's a great storyteller and interspersed tidbits about various historic and current personalities, some of which were in his family! His words brought everything he was showing us to life. He genuinely shared the love and pride of his home state. I don't believe the tour would have been as good with another guide. In addition he gave excellent instruction and directions to the group at the many stops, accommodations etc. There were 12 participants on our 10 day tour consisting of 3 couples and 6 solos. Ages ranged from 27-82, with at least one person in every decade in-between. 5 men and 7 women. 5 Aussies, 4 Americans. 2 Kiwis and 1 French. Everyone in our group seemed to enjoy the tour. I'm not sure children, teens or even early 20s would enjoy it as much. For the most part it is pretty sedentary. We were riding in the van 4-7hrs almost every day with 'bums in the bus' as early as 7:15am and ending 5-5:30pm . We covered a lot of distance. Although there were at least a half dozen stops per day, many are viewpoints and toilet stops, so quite brief. Keygan kept us engaged with his knowledge and his humor, but they were long days in the van. That said, Keygan would direct us to opportunities for 2-3k scenic walks most days. Most were flat, though some were uneven and several had many stairs. One woman could not comfortably walk more than 1/2k or do many stairs. There were at least three days when she chose to stay in the van or sit nearby. Although all rooms were en suite and clean, the lodging varied from very basic to moderate. The included breakfasts were continental. At least a couple of them were simply inadequate. Most places had an option for some type of hot breakfast for an additional fee. I made it a practice to pick up some bananas and nuts. All but one of the five included dinners were fine. On the last evening all of us participants chose to have dinner together in Hobart. At one point we went around the table and said which day had been our personal favorite. Although there were a couple duplicates, someone chose almost every day as their favorite. I thought that was a good testimony for the tour as a whole. Looking back, we realized just how much of the state we covered. Although any of us could have done it on our own, without the local knowledge we would have missed many of the brief stops and as importantly everything Keygan shared with us about his beautiful state. Because we wouldn't have known the shortcuts and nuances of the parks and sites we stopped, I have my doubts we could have completed it in 10 days. If you want to see a sample of almost all of Tasmania in 10 days, you can on this tour!

We thoroughly enjoyed the 10 day comfort tour of Tasmania - it was an excellent showcase of the island and its diversity covering rainforest, beaches, mountains, and wildlife. The tour was very well paced with a good amount of time in each location so we never felt rushed. There were a lot of options to personalise the experience by choosing between different walking options each day. We had a lovely tour group with people from all over the world and a wide range of ages (20s to 70+). Our tour guide Keygan was amazing and really made the trip extra special. His commentary was incredibly insightful sharing about the local plants, animals, culture, and history - it made for a much more enriching experience having added context to the wonderful sights. Keygan was a master storyteller and made the drives pass quickly, keeping us engaged and laughing. His energy made the tour such a joyful experience and we feel very lucky to have had him as our guide - huge thanks!! I highly recommend Under Down Under as a tour operator - they were very responsive to queries ahead of the tour, have fantastic tour guides, and have curated a wonderful itinerary for travellers.

An excellent way of seeing Tasmania without having to figure it out where to go, where to stay, where to eat, etc. while on my own. Anthony was our tour guide, so informative and knowledgeable about where we were going. He was flexible enough to take us to a different place for lunch when he realized the group wanted a different experience. I really enjoyed the opportunities to take a good walk in the areas we visited. The scenery was stunning. I will be back because there’s many other places I want to see since I’ve been on this tour.
