I had a fantastic day. Richard, my driver and guide, picked me up at 5:00am and we made the 3 hour drive to Akegena NP - with a nice stop for breakfast. Once in the park, I saw dozens of animals and birds. So many photos! The boat ride was really cool, and driving around the park was exceptional - rhinos, giraffes, zebras, water buffalo… around every corner, something different. In addition to being a great guide, Richard is also a great driver. I was safely back at the hotel by 8:30, with lots of great memories. Thank you!

I highly recommend Shalom Safaris Rwanda. This was my very first safari, and I booked a one-day private tour in Akagera National Park. It turned out to be the most memorable highlight of my entire stay in Rwanda and an absolutely wonderful introduction to safari experiences. The manager, Alain, was incredibly dedicated and friendly. He quickly took care of all the necessary arrangements well in advance, which made me feel completely at ease even as a first-time safari guest traveling alone. My guide, Jean Paul, was an intelligent and wonderful young man with extensive knowledge of wildlife and nature, as well as a genuine love and respect for them. Despite the limited time of just one day, he made every possible effort to help me see as much as possible. Thanks to his dedication, I was able to see far more animals and bird species than I had ever expected — including a family of rhinos, giraffes, and even a female lion during a hunt up close. It was truly unforgettable. I also highly recommend adding the boat safari in Akagera National Park. The local guide was very friendly, and I had amazing sightings of hippos, crocodiles, and many different bird species. This first safari experience was so special that it made me fall in love with safaris altogether. Next time, I would love to return with my wife and mother-in-law to share this incredible experience with them. Thank you once again to Shalom Safaris Rwanda for providing such an outstanding and memorable tour. I couldn’t have asked for a better first safari.

We went on a 1 day Akagera park drive. Emmanuel was our guide. He was superb. He was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. We were able to see 4 of the BIG 5 and many other animals. The picnic lunch had many good food options. We had a fantastic day!

A really nice guide, polite, courteous, welcoming, kind and very knowledgeable. He did everything to see all the animals that had been named. A day on safari succeeded perfectly. We've seen it all. It was extraordinary.

I travelled with Shalom safaris To Akagera National park one day trip. It was an excellent experience exploring the wild life of Rwanda with my guide cum safari driver Mr. Muhamedi, wonderful person with passion and vast knowledge on history of Rwanda and wildlife. He helped me through all the way, guiding and assisting me taking to the right places to sight the wild animals, the Giraffe, Zebras, Antilopes, Deers, Hippopotamus, Buffalos, Rhinoceros, crocodiles, many rare birds and Elephants. He has very shape eyes to find these animals. I was more excited to see Giraffes and Zebras, as its first Time for me to see them. Giraffes family's with a baby Girafee, I Loved them. He could explain about many animals and their habits, in a fascinating narration, it was interesting and informative. He was so caring all way about my needs. I also went to shopping with him, where he helped me get many ethnics. It was an excellent and wholistic experience of Rwanda. I recommend Shalom safaris to everyone

Shalom Safari was superb overall. Our driver was very helpful in explaining in guiding us to enjoy the trip. We were able to spot a variety of animals including: lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, various species of antelopes, rhinos, buffalos, monkeys. Diring lake boat excersion we saw croccodiles, elephants, hundreds of different types of birds, and hippos. If you are in Rwanda, dont miss this exceptional experience of one day safari at the Akagera National Park. I highly recommend Shalom Safari and you will not be dissapointed.

We did one full day drive in Akagera Park with driver guide Mica. The safari jeep satisfied our expectations and the pleasant driver guide Mica shared his vast knowledge about the Park and its animals. All in all a very good experience with Shalom Safari.
