Amazing experience , I vlogged the whole trip from start to finish on my YouTube channel- Allowitbruvchannel , the whole day was an unreal experience, from the moment we crossed the gulf of Aqaba we really felt Middle East vibes and the Jordanian people are very welcoming . The tour guide was a super nice guy , very informative. Your visas and lunch is included so you can’t go wrong :D
Long trip but it was worth it, I would do it over again …….but I would sleep in the van this time,,,,
by communicating the way, you do. Visting Petra is an extraordinary experience, unique, the monastery too full of tourists
It is a tired trip but it is very worth it. Our guide was Abdula and he was very good. We did the tour in English.
The visit to Petra is simply amazing. It is well worth the time spent getting there, however there is no escaping the fact that it is very, very long. Our trip started at 00:45 and ended at about midnight. It was all incredibly efficient though and by and large ran like clockwork. The only delay was when we arrived in Aqaba we were kept on the ferry for about an hour as a customs officer hadn’t turned up. There’s quite a bit of queuing too, you queue to leave Egypt and again to enter Jordan, and then the reverse on the way back. It is mostly queuing outside, it’s still dark (in early Feb) and was quite cold so make sure you have a jacket with you. The guides were great, and our tour bus catered for three languages. I saw previous reviews where people said that people spoke over the guides when it wasn’t their language but that wasn’t our experience. Petra itself is a sight to behold, absolutely stunning! The Treasury, jaw dropping! And the site is huge, we could have done with an entire day as you just can’t see it all in the few hours you are there for. There is a walk of around 45 mins in each direction which is downhill on the way in and therefore uphill on the way out. We are both 65, and quite active, but had no issues at all with the hike. You can take a golf buggy (which I think is $22 cash each, one way. Please check as I’m not too sure, or take a horse). We felt the lunch at a nearby hotel wasn’t great, but as it came at the end of the visit to Petra and we were about to sit on a coach for several hours, it was better not to over eat! Some have complained about the toilet stops being at shopping villages to buy souvenirs, but I couldn’t really see any other options. That said, there was absolutely zero hassle where we stopped, the vendors showed respect and left you alone to browse in peace. And no tips required to use the toilet! Don’t be put off by the journey, it really wasn't too arduous! Petra is an unforgettable experience, the Jordanian people are so friendly and welcoming, it is well, well worth it! I’m not sure why no one offers a two or three day trip though, if they did, we would have done that instead.
Top organized tour, unforgettable experience with super guide. Modern coaches, great lunch, gladly again with this organizer.
It's a long day but well worth it. Starts with a pickup at the hotel, then go on to a bus for close to 3 hours. From there it's a roughly 1 hour ferry to another bus that is about 2 to 3 hours long. They take enough breaks along the way. Once you're in Petra you realize it's all worth the effort.
Its an amazing opportunity to see another country in a short space of time. You need stamina that might dwindle at the end, as it is a pick up 00.45 and you return roughly the same time. Petra was awesome. And the English speaking guide Eddy was cheerful and informative. I was worried about the walk to the treasury and back as a middle aged lady with knee problems. But i made it ok. The walk is around 45 minutes each way and is uphill coming back. Go me! There are golf carts and horses if you don't prefer to walk. The bus stops for toilet breaks and you can browse the bazaars and buy snacks. The ferry ride is great and you get the fresh sea air and views approaching Jordan. Two things I didn't like. Firstly the immigration and customs process (particularly coming back into Egypt) was slow. You feel it at the end of a long day standing forever in a massive queue. Secondly the coach drops you off at the end point in Sharm el Sheikh and you get in a minibus to continue the final hotel drops, this transfer went smoothly, however the minibus driver had his phone in one hand and a piece of paper in the other whilst driving he was on his phone the whole time!
Goos views. They thing in stops for eat and restroom. Explain everything and was sure. They were pendient about migration and tickets
Great experience and memories. Definetly worth the expense. Get plenty of rest before you begin your journey and 1 am pick up. Physically challenging (62 yr.old female) however thank God I survived. 😀🙏🏾 Alot of movement charter bus & ferry. Stay sober and vigilant. I walked to and fro the Siq and ampitheater took great photos. The lunch stop restaurant food was delicious be sure to try the lentil soup. Beverages arent included in the meal. Outstanding overall experience.
