メコン川のほとりにあるユニークな小さな村。 ウイスキー村としても知られるバンザンハイは、ウイスキーの蒸留や販売、手織りの生地、ジュエリーなどの手工芸品で有名です。
これら2つの洞窟は、ナムオウ川がメキング川に注ぐルアンパバーンから約25kmのところにある。 ゆっくりと移動するロングボートに乗って洞窟に向かう旅は、間違いなく絵に描いたような美しさです。 モーターで川を遡上すると、地元の人が釣りをしているのを見たり、水しぶきを上げる子どもたちの楽しそうな笑い声に耳を傾けたりできます。 洞窟はラオス全土で崇拝されており、観光客や巡礼者に非常に人気のある場所である。 洞窟内には約4000のスタティエットがあり、ほとんどが仏陀像で、多くは紙製の薄い金箔で覆われている。 1つ目の洞窟は川端から急な階段でたどり着きますが、2つ目の洞窟は少し奥の山奥にあります。たいまつを持ってきてください！
クアンシーの滝は、クアンシーと綴られたり、タット・クアンシーの滝として知られていることもあり、ルアンパバーンの南約29キロメートル（18マイル）にある3つの水平な滝です。 滝に手を伸ばしたら、雄大な自然をゆったりとお楽しみください。 水は転がり落ち、穏やかに流れ落ちて涼しく透き通った複数のプールに入り、爽やかな泳ぎを楽しめます。 冒険者は、素晴らしい景色が待っている急勾配のコースを通って滝の頂上まで歩いて行くかもしれません。 クアンシーの滝は絶滅危惧種であるヒグマを保護するための救助センターがある場所でもある。
滝の帰りにモン族の村を訪れます。 村の中を歩き、村人が建てた小さな博物館に立ち寄ります。 伝統的な衣装に身を包んだ村人たちから、本来の高原生活について学ぶ。

Very full itinerary. Covers key, beautiful spots. Lunch was surprisingly great - good location, buffet style, good varieties. Very fulfilling day. The guides were friendly. Communication was good too - they contacted me right after I booked.

Started with a pick up from my hotel. We went to see the falls, which are very nice. Lunch (buffet) was at a very good restaurant with surprisingly good food. There were very well behaved elephants that we could feed. Next was the caves and finally a cruise down the Mekong River back to Luang Prabang. A day well spent.

Taking a cruise on the Mekong River is a good activity to discover the wild shores to the caves of Pak Ou and also it allows to take a break on the temple tours that are numerous in and around Luang Prabang. There were only 3 of us on the boat and we had the pleasure of enjoying an excellent meal. Apart from visiting the caves , we also discovered a village with its alcohol production , weaving workshops and an area of small temples dedicated to the local population
