ガートに到着し、ガンジス川沿いの穏やかな日の出のボートに乗って、ダシャシュワメッド・ガートからマニカルニカ・ガートへと向かいます。 道中では、神聖な朝の儀式、伝統的な火葬の儀式、そして川岸の生命を定義する活気に満ちた精神的な雰囲気を目撃しましょう。
ボートに乗った後は、狭い寺院のレーンをガイド付きで散策。 最初にカシ・ヴィシュワナト寺院を訪れます。シヴァ神を祀る最も神聖な寺院の一つです。 ガイドがバラナシのスピリチュアルな遺産について語り、街の習慣や日々の儀式を説明します。

次に、紀元前3世紀にアショーカ天皇が建立したアショーカ柱を見学します。 インドで最も古い石碑のひとつで、アショーカの治世下での仏教の普及を象徴する。 元のライオンの都は現在博物館にあるが、柱はサルナートの主要な見どころであり続けている。
この巨大な円筒形の建造物は、仏陀が最初に教えを授けた正確な場所を示している。 仏塔は高さ43メートルあり、仏教の豊かな遺産を反映した複雑な彫刻が施されている。
ホテルに戻り、少し休憩したり、リフレッシュしたりしてから夜の体験に向かいます。 この休憩は、一日の観光の後で、バラナシの最も魅惑的なスピリチュアルな儀式を目撃する前にリラックスして充電することができます。

The tour was a little disappointing, the guides explained many things but it always was a little superficial; some more commitment would have been nice. Besides this we still really enjoyed the boat ride and Ganghes Arti.
The experience was nice but himanshu would scroll on his phone sometimes and left us during the evening ceremony. It would’ve been nice if he stayed with us to answer our questions. He did know a lot but would sometimes get confused. The boat ride was really beautiful though and the ceremony was interesting.
The guide, Himanshu was a nice and talkative guy with full of knowledge of the city. He listened well and flexibly accommodated my need.
Knowing the city well is important, but listening to guests is just as valuable. We're pleased Himanshu could create an experience that felt both informative and suited to what you were looking for. A little flexibility can go a long way.
Himanshu is an excellent tour guide. He is very knowledgeable about Varanasi, its culture and the broader history of India. Our morning boat ride was very impactful and a once in a lifetime experience. I definitely recommend doing this tour.
Varanasi feels much more meaningful when someone explains the culture and history behind the city while you explore it. And the morning boat ride is honestly one of the most memorable parts of visiting there. Nice that Himanshu helped make the experience so special for you.

Himanshu was a great guide. We set off after pickup at our hotel to walk to the Ghat, where we took a boat on the Ganges which was amazing. Himanshu gave us a briefing of the history of Varanasi. After we finished the boat tour we explored different temples within the city, before concluding with a complementary breakfast. Water was also provided which was a nice touch.

The boat ride on the Ganges, visits to different temples, and his insightful explanations about Varanasi made the journey truly meaningful and engaging. We did the morning tour and boat trip. Himanshu was very knowledgeable and friendly, giving us a comprehensive overview of Varanasi and its history. It was a great tour given by Himanshu. All the points of interest were hit with great details and stories given. I would definitely recommend it for solo travelers (or groups) who only have so much time in Varanasi and really want to make the most of their day
