平和公園は、1945年8月9日に長崎に原爆が投下された記念の場所です。 この静かな空間には平和記念像、美しい噴水、そして各国のモニュメントがあります。 長崎を最初に訪れるにはいい場所だ。
出島は、徳川幕府の命で造られた人工島で、1636年に竣工し、日本で唯一の西欧への窓として、約200年にわたり日本の近代化に大きな役割を果たしてきました。
1597年（慶長2年）、将軍はキリシタン禁止令を発布し、フランシスコ会宣教師6人と日本信者20人が処刑された。 1962年（昭和37年）には二十六聖人の銅像碑が建てられ、同時にこの二十六聖人記念館と大聖堂が建てられ、キリスト教の歴史が紹介されている。
長崎は戦国時代にはイエズス会の領地となり、寛永2年（1625年）には長崎市ゆかりの諏訪・森崎・住吉の3社が長崎土着の神とされた。

We had a wonderful day with Karen on our customized full day private tour of Nagasaki. As she had spent some time in the US, her English is superb - this is really important to get the maximum out of a tour like this. She communicated well beforehand as we discussed our itinerary - including how best to handle a health issue that had recently arisen. Karen picked us up ( in our case from our cruise ship) and we toured the most interesting sights in Nagasaki. We even fitted a coffee stop in for me at a fascinating coffee shop with some wonderful gifts. The traditional Nagasaki lunch during the tour was delicious. Throughout the day Karen was very flexible and thoughtful avoiding busy areas at peak times. We would highly recommend Karen.

We spent a day and a half with Eli on a customized tour. Shimabara castle, unzen hot spring, peace park, making champon. The entire time was delightful. We shopped for the ingredients for champon - seeing a local grocery store was fun. We would highly recommend booking a tour with Eli.
