Joao was a wealth of knowledge, who explained the history and culture of Coimbra clearly and in an upbeat manner. He kept the walk flowing well, stopping to allow us to look at random interests along the way. He was personable and had a good sense of humour. Would definitely recommend!!

João was fantastic. Very informative and passionate about Coimbra! Walking was pretty much downhill all the way (take a Bolt or Uber up to the meeting place). Definitely recommended!

Joao gave us a very interesting 3-hours tour. He has a great knowledge of history and he also made the tour very enjoyable with fun facts about Coimbra and the actual situation in Potugal. (Mentioning how is life im Coimbra, what are the university students’ special ceremonies etc) It was really worth it!

Our original intended tour guide cancelled the night before but did give us contact details of João and he responded quickly to tell us he could accommodate us. The tour lasted approx. 3 hrs and João gave us a lot of information about Coimbra, Portuguese history and other facts in general. His English was very good and the group consisted of Germans, Taiwanese, and well as Brits.
