We had an amazing and eye-opening guided tour round Johannesburg and Soweto. Our driver and guide, Neo, was a marvel, in that he opened doors for us to spend time in a shack community (think of the favellas in Brazil) and see life there. The people might have been poor, but they were beautiful and welcoming. We also had a number of visits to sites from the history of apartheid, which were terrible (in seeing the brutality with which black and coloured people were treated) but interesting and informative.

Super complete tour of Johannesburg
We were only in Johannesburg for one day, and it was worth hiring this city tour. Our driver guide Neo was super friendly, nice, and knowledgeable about the city and its history. He even managed to get us to see Constitution Hill after hours by talking to the security person. We visited one of the townships on foot, in total safety, also Soweto, Apartheid museum, Nelson Mandela’s house, in short, we are super satisfied with the day. Neo’s the best!

Great snapshot of Johannesburg and Soweto
I was expecting to be part of a group but it was just me with Salebo (guide) and Sam (driver) Both were excellent and knowledgeable. It’s a comprehensive tour, though we could not go into FNB as the Springboks were playing the All Blacks later in the day. I would recommend this tour.

One of the best tours!!
My tour guide/driver Neo was phenomenal! Very personable and professional! I learned so much about Johannesburg and Swoteo during my short visit. Highly recommend!!

Wow amazing experience

Awesome day spent with Neo
We chose the full day Johannesburg and Soweto tour. Neo was our guide and picked us up promptly at our hotel. What a fantastic day we had, the guide was very knowledgable and answered all our questions with a comfortable vehicle. I would highly reccomend Heritage Explorer with Neo as he is a local.
