1992年に日本がユネスコの世界遺産条約に加盟すると、原爆ドームの世界遺産化を求める声が被爆者を含めて高まりました。 広島市民による署名運動が功を奏し、1995年6月に国の史跡に指定され、1996年には核兵器廃絶と核兵器廃絶を訴えるシンボルとして世界遺産に登録されました。世界平和のために。
1949年（昭和24年）8月6日、広島平和記念都市建設法の制定に伴い、中島地区全域を「平和記念施設」とすることが決まり、現在の平和記念公園の始まりとなった。 公園の広さは約122,100平方メートル。 設計は東京大学教授の丹下健三ら3名によるもので、145案のデザインコンペで選ばれた。 公園の南端には平和記念資料館東館・本館、広島国際会議場と3棟の建物が並ぶ。
平和記念資料館。 2棟の建物からなり、広島の歴史や原爆投下について調査している。 しかし、その主な焦点は、8月6日の出来事に焦点を当てている：爆弾の投下と人間の苦しみにおけるその結果。 表示される個人的な詳細はかなり動揺させるもので、平和を当然視してはならないことを思い出させるのに役立つ。 ※広島平和記念資料館が休館の場合は、代わりに国立広島原爆死没者追悼平和祈念館にご案内します。 ※2026年12月30日～31日、2027年2月15日～20日は休館。
神社は小さな入り江にあり、鳥居は瀬戸内海に面しています。入り江の周りには遊歩道が整備されており、海を眺めながら散策を楽しめます。日没後、神社と鳥居は毎日23:00までライトアップされ、旅館のゲストが浴衣と下駄で夜の散歩を楽しむのに最適な背景を提供します.ただし、日没後の参拝はできません。 1時間はランチタイム。 途中の移動時間は約30分。

A solemn experience but difficult to understand tour guide. Very stark contrast to our earlier tours to Mt. Fuji and Kyoto.

Good 2-part tour. Hiroshima Peace Park was a great place, though it was a little crowded, lots of school children. The Peace Museum has a large permanent exhibition of photos, artefacts and records, maybe take care deciding whether to bring kids here. But for us the real highlight was Miyajima, we would have loved to have spent more time there. Our guide was great, lots of information and interesting stories to share.

Was very well organised and an enjoyable day. Our guide Tomoe Ishihara was incredible, she gave us a lot of information about the sights and history. She was very engaging on the bus, shared interesting facts about Japan in general. She was very thoughtful and came with us to the train station to make sure we managed to change our train departure time. We really appreciated it... arigatou gozaimasu

A very moving first part of the day. Peace Park was a very moving experience. Miyajima was also very interesting.
Miss Azusa was a great guide! She explained just what happened then. I realized it is not the time for justifying, grudging or blaming
The guide was very informative. We had an issue finding the location but the company was very patient and spoke to us over the phone to ensure that we got on the bus.
Azusa san was knowledge and funny! We learnt and saw so much. I highly recommend this tour for anyone who wants to see Hiroshima’s highlights.
