We had a fantastic safari that far exceeded our expectations. The organization was flawless, but the absolute highlight was our guide Innocent (who spoke excellent German) and our driver Aristides. They were true professionals - both personally and professionally simply top-notch! They knew the best routes, had incredible patience, and introduced us to the wildlife in Mikumi National Park in a very special way. We could not have wished for better companions. The pickup at 4:00 AM worked perfectly, and we were therefore early enough at the airport. Everything at the airport also went smoothly, allowing us to board the propeller plane to Mikumi at 6:00 AM. From there, shortly after seven, we set off for the safari in Mikumi National Park with our guide Innocent and a driver. Innocent told us a lot of interesting information about the animals, asked many questions, and made a great effort to show us everything in the short time. Thus, we saw lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, and many other animals. The driver also did his best to always take us to the best possible spots for observation and photos. At noon, there was a small buffet, and afterwards, we went to the hippopotamus pool and to see the crocodiles again. At 2:15 PM, we returned to the airfield to fly back to Zanzibar at 2:30 PM. All in all, a super worthwhile day trip.

I booked this trip spontaneously when I was having a vacation in Zanzibar and I totally recommend it! From hotel pickup, flight to Tansania, doing the safari, flying back and get dropped at the hotel again everything was perfect. Our guide for the safari was „Innocence“ and the driver was „Ali“. Make sure, that you get those two guys! Both were very encouraged to get the best experience for us and we were not disappointed. The comfort of the safari pickup (we were 6 people in it, but there is plenty of space as each row had 2 passengers) is great and a very cool experience without any glasses around you and direct sight and contact to the nature. During the safari we were able to see lions, elephants, zebras, crocodiles, hippos, impalas, monkeys, warthogs, pumbas, giraffes, bulls and I am sure I still forgot some animals. The admission fee related to the duration of the whole day is more than fair. This trip is the best for anyone who wants to have a very good safari experience during their relaxing vacation on Zanzibar.
