We recently spent the day at Materuni Waterfall and joined the coffee tour with our family. Our guide Issah explained everything beautifully, he was very friendly. The waterfall was beautiful, and the coffee experience was something completely different. The coffee tour was fun and gave us a chance to experience some local food. Happily enjoyed our day with Kibo Mawenzi Safaris.
Our entire day in Materuni was amazing from start to finish. My partner and I really enjoyed this combined experience of waterfalls, coffee tour and Chemka hot springs, as each part of the day was completely different. Materuni was beautiful and walking through the villages and coffee plantations made the experience even more authentic. Chemka Hot Springs was the perfect end to our trip. We spent some time swimming and relaxing in the warm waters before heading back. Although it was a busy day, there was a nice balance between activity and relaxation.

Coffee visit was enjoyable and the coffee was lovely. Springs were a bit chaotic. Driver and guide (Francis and Ramadan) were great.

Materuni Waterfall was impressive, and the cool spray was refreshing after the walk We also had a lot of fun during the coffee tour and enjoyed seeing the amount of work that goes into preparing coffee beans. Meeting the local people and witnessing their traditions made the trip very special.

We had an amazing time in this excursion! Our guides were amazing. Michael was really helpful and he was very knowledgeable about everything. He would provide us with facts, talk about the culture of the place and show us different things during the tour. He was also really helpful with elder members of the group during the hike up to the waterfall. The waterfall itself was amazing, the views was great and the hike was really fun. We then went to the coffee farm where we learned about how the local coffee is made and then we got involved in making our own coffee! The experience was also fun as they sang songs, did a little ritual and the coffee boys took our phones to take pictures and video so we could just enjoy the experience! We also had an amazing lunch there too. The springs was also really nice and really fun. Overall the experience was very good and I’d highly recommend it!
