We were picked up on time by George who explained that we were going to visit 4 wineries today in stellenbosh. George knows his stuff, the places he took us to were excellent. Excellent wine, excellent food and excellent customer service! The first place was set in lovely gardens which, in the sunshine, made our tasting experience idilic. The 2nd stop concentrated on red wines which I prefer, and had a top class restaurant where I had one of the best steaks ever. Our 3rd winery was the poshest, with rolling mountain views and classy port-wines. The final stop excelled at cheese platters and olive oil…yum. This was great day out in the company of George who was a great driver-guide, thank you.

Our driver George was super attentive and flexible with respect to our needs. It was excellent.

Magnificent day of stellembosh we were very happy all was on time and I would like to recommend this tour for anyone who would like to get to pass a good time in couple or family very nice tour

This is NOT a private tour. I went with my family and we picked up a group of people on the way to the tours. Additionally, the estimated amount of money spent on wine tasting was extremely low. We spent at least 120 Rand on each tasting per person instead of the total 180 Rand estimated per trip. If you are planning a wine tour it would be cheaper to Uber your group to each vineyard or even take the train option. Do not book this trip if you expect a true private wine tour.

The vehicle was too small for 4 adults and was not comfortable (and rain water dropped onto the passenger seat up front from the courtesy light above). Our driver seemed eager to please but didn’t interact much and gave very little information as we travelled or arrived at each winery. The 4 wineries were beautiful but our tour did not include all stops listed on the itinerary. Would not recommend this option for a private tasting experience.

A wonderful wine tour experience visiting some of the most beautiful and award winning wineries. Our tour guide, Leon, was fantastic and went above and beyond our expectations making the day an experience we will always cherish. Thank you so much!

We booked the private full day stellenbosch tour with shine the way tours. We were picked up by Leon from outside and right from the moment he introduced himself we knew it was going to be a great day. En route he pointed out different places, mountain ranges etc. We felt very safe and comfortable with his driving on fast carriagways.He walked in to every vinyard to introduce us and made sure we were in the right place for the wine tasting experience. He played the perfect chaperone and we never felt rushed, thank you Leon. A full day is needed to appreciate four vineyards and lunch. A marvellous day and some fantastic wines.

George was a great driver and provided an interesting wine tour day. He let us choose the amount of time we needed and was easy to find when we finished each wine estate. The place he chose for lunch was excellent. The only thing I would change is I would have liked him to contact us the night before so we knew that he was assigned to us as our driver.

Good choice of wineries of different styles catering for all tastes. Had best steak Ive ever tasted. Recommend. I have walking difficulties and use a walking stick. George ensured I really enjoyed my day by making access easy.

Our driver Leon was amazing! He was very knowledgable and shared some history as we were driving to the different locations. He was very patient as we stopped at each vineyard and very friendly. The vineyards were gorgeous and delicious food and great wine. Would defintely recommend.
