Η Αρχαία Αγορά της Αθήνας είναι ο ανοικτός χώρος που βρίσκεται εγγύτατα και β ορειοδυτικά της Ακρόπολης。 Στην αρχαιότητα αποτελούσε διοικητικό, φιλοσοφικό, εκπαιδευτικό, κοινωνικό, πολιτιστικό και κυρίως το οικονομικό κέντρο της πόλης。 Την Αρχαία Αγορά διέσχιε η Οδός των Παναθηναίων από την οποία διερχόταν η μεγά λη πομπή προς την Ακρόπολη κατά την διάρκεια των εορτασμών των Παναθηναίων που θ έσπισε ο Πεισίστρατος και τελούνταν το τρίτο έτος κάθε Ολυμπιάδας。
Το Μοναστηράκι είναι κεντρική συνοικία της Αθήνας γύρω από την Πλατεία Μονα στηρακίου, η οποία εκτείνεται στη νότια πλευρά της οδού Ερμού, από το ύψος τη ς Πλατείας Μητροπόλεως έως την Πλατεία Θησείου。 Γειτνιάζει με τις συνοικίες του Ψυρρή, της Πλάκας και του Θησείου。 Η ονομασία της προέρχεται από την παλιά εκκλησία της Κοιμήσεως της Θεοτόκου Α θήνας, που βρίσκεται χτισμένη επί της πλατείας, και παλαιότερα ήταν μετόχι μοναστη ριού και συγκεκριμένα、της Μονής Καρέα στον Υμηττό。 Στην Πλατεία Μοναστηρακίου δεσπόζει επίσης το παλιό Τζαμί Τζισταράκη που έχει κα τασκευαστεί το 1759 και το οποίο σήμερα στεγάζει παράρτημα του Μουσείου Λαϊκής Τέ χνης。 Η περιοχή του Μοναστηρακίου εθεωρείτο διαχρονικά μέρος της συνοικίας του Ψυρρή、η οποία έφτανε μέχρι το Θησείο και τα όρια της Πλάκας。 Άρχισε να υφίσταται ως ξεχωριστή συνοικία μετά τη διάνοιξη της οδού Ερμού τ ο 1835年。
Το Μουσείο Ακρόπολης είναι αρχαιολογικό μουσείο επικεντρωμένο στα ευρήματα το υ αρχαιολογικού χώρου της Ακρόπολης των Αθηνών。 Πρόκειται για το δεύτερο σε σπουδαιότητα αρχαιολογικό μουσείο εντός της Ελην ικής επικράτειας, μετά το Εθνικό Αρχαιολογικό Μουσείο επί της οδού Πατησίων。 Το μουσείο κτίστηκε για να στεγάσει κάθε αντικείμενο που έχει βρεθεί πάνω στον ιε ρό βράχο της Ακρόπολης και στους πρόποδες του καλύπτοντας μία ευρεία χρονική περίοδο από την Μυκηναϊκή περίοδο έως την Ρωμαϊκή και Παλαιοχριστιανική Αθήνα ενώ ταυτόχρονα βρίσκεται πάνω στον αχαιολογικό χώρο Μακρυγιάννη, κατάλοιπο των Ρωμαϊκών και πρώιμων βυζαντινών Αθηνών。

Our private tour of Athens was one of the highlights of our trip to Greece! From the moment we started, our guide was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate about the city’s rich history. Walking through the Acropolis was an unforgettable experience. Seeing the Parthenon and the other ancient temples in person was truly breathtaking. Our guide shared fascinating stories about ancient Greek civilization, mythology, and the significance of each structure, bringing thousands of years of history to life. The tour was well organized, never felt rushed, and gave us plenty of time to take in the sights and ask questions. If you’re visiting Athens, I can’t recommend a private tour enough. It’s the best way to experience the city’s incredible history, architecture, and culture. It was truly an unforgettable day!

Tassos was a fantastic tour guide! He was so nice, knowledgeable, prompt, and considerate. It was hot so he kept us full of water and gave us an umbrella for shade. He drove us to a wonderful restaurant for Lunch. Mostly, he filled us with the history of Athens. Book! You won’t regret it!

I was on a 26 day , 2 cruise adventure with 3 days at the end in Athens . By far , Lambros Petropoulos , the owner, provided the small group with an amazing authentic experience with all the places we wanted to visit and more . We had a person with special needs, and with Lambros’ knowledge with having grown up in Athens , it was so smooth and very enjoyable. With his knowledge of the local restaurants , bakeries , stores, and knowledge of history with the “must sees”, it couldn’t have been more perfect. He treats you like family , listens well to your goals, and knows people so gets you in places with beautiful views and the best food! His sense of humor and warm personality , had us booking 3 days with him ending our trip on such a high note , we didn’t want to leave. Don’t think twice .. worth every penny. When he knows what you want to shop for , he also guides you to stores without wasting time . Just perfection. Definitely the best guide and we went to various cities in Italy, Croatia, Montenegro, etc. Let him make your trip amazing .

Did the wine country tour and basically everywhere else .Lambrose was a fabulous guide very very knowledgeable and takes great pride in his country and family history. We had a wonderful time seeing the sites and other part of Greece. He taylored the tour to our liking, comfortable car and good driving skills. One of our favorite activities while we were there on our trip. I'm a bit remiss as I thought I had reviewed this right away but the site is telling me otherwise...I would give five star review 10 times if it would let me ..

Lambros was very helpful, taking us around the city during our available time, paying great attention to detail. He took us to the changing of the guard and took us to see one of the most beautiful sunsets over the city. He was precise, knowledgeable, and very friendly.
