I think this trip was a bit expensive but the reef we dived on was over an hour away (take your sea sickness tabs) hot drinks can only be served when boat is stationary so grab one as soon as you get on board. Safety brief and dive guides were great, as was the lunch. Eat as much as you can as any left overs will be binned. Diving was ok but a lit of it was above 12m. All crew are very friendly and helpfull. Gets a bit crowded on aftdeck with all the snorkellers but they try to stagger them with the divers. GBR was a bucket list tick, but i still think the red sea is better. They take lots of photos but a $36 aus each I thought they were a bit expensive. Long trip 7:30 check in returned about 16:30

If winds are over 10 knots it’s hard to swim on the reef. At least it was for me, an average swimmer. Didn’t get to see much of reef due to high waves and fear of being swept out. Crew was competent. Make sure to ask for help when you need it. Stick to tour with pontoon stop unless you are a very good swimmer.

This was just the best day- really well organised from start to finish professional and felt really safe. I was snorkelling and absolutely loved it, the marine knowledge of the young guide was very good- you need to pay her more 😉 There were so many fish and coral, even saw a reef shark, the Maori Ressa was an interesting fish. Food was great, and the Silversonic got us there really quick and smooth. Would definitely recommend

We went out on a calm day which made it great for snorkelling. Try & aim for a sunny day & winds under 10 knots for a great day out at sea.

Three different reef stops. Crew very helpful and informative. It was a bit choppy on the water, but the visibility is very good. Great lunch options. Both divers and snorkellers on board, but well organised.

We booked this service with Silversonic and the truth is that the experience could not have been more positive. They care a lot about their customers; that day the sea was very rough and they were attentive to giving us motion sickness pills. The food on board was abundant and high-quality, and the boat was clean and well-maintained. But the best part was the crew and the instructors: complete and very well-explained briefings; many of them are marine biologists, so they teach you beyond just the dive itself. The staff is attentive to you and your safety at all times. It has been a unique experience and I am glad I did it with Silversonic and their team, who made it even more authentic. You cannot miss visiting this part of Australia and the Great Barrier Reef.

This was a great day trip. I liked that we stopped at 3 places along the reef. Each stop was different. The equipment was very nice and fit well. The staff was really nice and very helpful. The food was surprisingly good. Glad I had dry clothes to change into at the end of the day!

We loved our time with this wonderful crew. Steve who was the guy in charge was fun, kind and extremely helpful. Chris, who led our introductory scuba course was confidence inspiring and kept both our safety and fun perfectly balanced. We’d only booked one dive but they ended up w space for us to do more and made it happen. The ride back was extremely bumpy which was no fun, but that’s not the fault of the crew. I highly recommend!

We were two couples in 50s. Some had snorkelled elsewhere recently and some not/never. Our experience was exceptional from booking to pre-sail advice about what to take, to leaving on time, to just a truly memorable day. Three sites were different but by far our favorite was the second snorkel site of Turtle Island. Vibrant coral and wide variety of fish. 🐠 Personally I thought better than Fiji islands. The crew were friendly and slick. Everything ran like clockwork and instructions were clear and timely. The buffet lunch was yummy and plentiful, as were the snacks/tea/coffee. Liked the fact there were only 80 people on the SilverSonic and that no ladders were required for getting out of the water. . The unexpected Manta Ray show on the way back to PD just topped off a wonderful day. Well done to the entire SS team.

So the Trip was One of the best experiences of my life. Thanks to Gorden (one of the dive crew members) who got me and my dad a place for diving shortly. But the snorkel was also great. We drived at great coral reef spots. We saw turtles and many different fishes. So please give Gorden a money raise for his job. He deserves it 🫶. Really recommended☝️😍
