Gerie was extremely prompt in all coordination. The price offered by kruger gateway is very competitive. His driver Derrick was extremely experienced and we had a great time sighting lions, leopards, wild dogs, hyenas , etc over 2 full day safari experiences. I would definitely recommend kruger gateway safari to anyone who is looking for a value for money real safari experience at kruger

We did two tours, one full day Safari with Doctor and a sunset safari with Derrick. Absolutely faultless on both days. We were picked up from our lodge promptly and both guides were extremely friendly and both had a great sense of humour. Both were very knowledgeable about the wildlife, giving us lots of information as we drove around the park. They also knew particular spots where we were more likely to sight the animals. After our first day, Gerrie also checked in to ensure we had a good day and to let us know what to ask our guide for on the second drive. Our personal favourite sighting was watching two lions feeding. Altogether an unforgettable experience.

Legend... We joked about that word…Legend. Gerrie laughed (like we did all day). But it’s true, the guy knew everyone…he even speaks “Elephant” …I kid you not. Seriously, you’ve traveled all the way to Africa, then do your safari with a “Legend”. We’ve done a lot of travel, and this day was a “top day”…ever. I don’t know how I could recommend Gerrie Smit more…it was a perfect day.

​Our trip to Kruger National Park was absolute magic, completely delivering on world-class predator sightings. If you love big cats and African carnivores, this park is unbeatable. ​The Lions on the Road: We had some of the most spectacular, close-up encounters with lions. At one point, a magnificent male stood right on the tarmac next to our vehicle while another rested nearby, completely unbothered. We also got to see a beautiful pair—a male and a lioness—right by the roadside. Watching them grooming, yawning, and lounging on the warm asphalt was a breathtaking experience. ​A Gorgeous Leopard: Spotting a leopard is always a challenge, but we were lucky enough to find one draped lazily across a large tree branch overhanging a riverbank. Watching it look right down at us from its shaded perch was an absolute dream come true. ​Hyenas and Jackals: The scavengers made frequent appearances too. We had an incredibly close encounter with a spotted hyena walking right along the road (which was wearing a research tracking collar), and we also spotted a black-backed jackal foraging in the grass at the road's edge. ​The Ultimate Bonus – Wild Dogs: To top it all off, we managed to see African wild dogs! They are incredibly rare and always on the move, so crossing paths with them was a massive highlight. ​Iconic Backdrops: Beyond the animals, just driving through the landscape was stunning. Seeing the famous Kruger Shalati train hotel parked on the Selati Bridge over the Sabie River was an amazing sight. ​Kruger National Park exceeded every expectation. There is nothing quite like the thrill of turning a corner and finding a pride of lions blocking traffic, or scanning the trees to find a hidden leopard. We left with memories and photos that will last a lifetime. Highly recommended

Incredible tour the boy who served us that we closed the package was super kind and attentive. The Rufus our guide is super fun and charismatic, he made our tour much better. Without a doubt we reject the services can go without fear. The car was all new, and we saw several animals 10/10 rating!

This is not our first trip with Kruger Gateway Safaris, and it always takes place at a high level. This time our guide was Rufus. He was funny and had a sense of humor. We spent three great days on safari. It seemed to us that a lot of animals stayed on the road before cars got there, so Rufus was one of the first to try to enter Kruger Park. As a result, we observed a large family of hyenas playing with their cubs, and were the first to discover three lions and many other animals. Rufus is always in touch with the other rangers and when he was informed about the leopard, we raced to not miss this secretive cat. When we arrived at the leopard, he showed us a performance))). The leopard was eating an impala on a tree, accidentally dropped it on the ground, went down after it and dragged it back up the tree. It was incredible!!! Rufus made sure that we could see clearly, so he changed the angle when the leopard was moving. We are in love with the wild nature of Africa and we will come back again! Crossing continents, make sure that you get into the hands of professionals. Kruger Gateway Safaris is 100% recommended!!!

We did a full-day safari with Kruger Gateway Safaris, which was excellent, thanks to our guide, Rufus. He was very friendly and easy-going, and he did his best to help us find the Big Five, although we were unlucky as the lions were hiding that day. It was a bonus that it was just the two of us—a private safari with no sharing or rushing. The communication and the information he shared about the area and the animals were excellent.

The safari was amazing! We saw many animals, even lions and rhinos. Knowledgeable guide who really did his best to show us what we wanted. The car was new, very comfy. That is very important to 10 hours of sitting. We had breakfast and lunch breaks in nice places. Water was provided. Everything was smooth and nice! Really recommend this company to organize safari tours.
