長崎の原爆資料館は爆心地の上にある公園にあります。展示品は原爆投下による圧倒的な破壊を示すと同時に、世界平和の重要性と、二度とこのようなことが起こらないように地球を守るための兵器撤去についても教えてくれます。 とても厳粛な場所で、物語、展示品、写真が非常に生々しいため、心の弱い人には絶対におすすめできません。大声で泣いたり、感情を抑えきれなくなったりする人を見たことがありません。この資料館は、誰もが好むものではありません。しかし、歴史を覚え、過去を忘れないことは重要です。そうすることで、過去と同じ過ちを繰り返さないことができるからです。そういう意味で、資料館は、人類のために二度とこのようなことが起こらないように、みんなで集まる素晴らしい場所になり得ます。
もちろん、長崎平和公園の正像を普通に眺めても迫力があり、間違いなく感動的で、悲しみと同時に未来への希望が詰まっています。しかしながら、裏面には上記のすべてが当てはまりますが、それに加えて、人類と人類が実際にその間違いから学び、核軍拡競争が過去に向かい、今もなお進んでいるあの狭い風の強い破滅の道を歩むことがないのかという疑問の感情もあります。 21世紀のこの時代でもある程度はそうなります。
長崎の稲佐山の夜景は素晴らしい場所です。昼間の景色は独特の世界ですが、夜の景色と比較すると、私の意見ではかなり評価が低くなります。この素晴らしい場所は言葉ではうまく説明できません。この景色を信じるには実際に見る必要があります。間違いなく、長崎全土、そしておそらく日本全土で最も美しい景色の一つです。この場所は、美しい場所からパノラマに至るまで、長崎の美しさと自然という点で提供できるすべてのハイライトを本当に引き出しているので、長崎を訪れるすべての訪問者や顧客を連れて行くように努めています。

Shannon was easy to work with from our very first communication. He was flexible with an itinerary, allowing us to see landmarks not typically on his list, but also asking about our interests as he planned our day. Stopping for ceramics was never something we would have planned, but Shannon was patient as I shopped, leading me to a beautiful vase! Shannon's tour was more than just a drive to landmarks. It was full of history and culture, from stopping to chat with school children to tasting sake! It's clear Shannon has immense pride in his tour but also in Japan. If you are lucky enough to fit into Shannon's schedule, book immediately, it will be one of the highlights of your travels!

Hello Jenni, I throughly enjoyed our day together and even though we made changes to the itinerary on the go, they all turned out perfectly. I thought the special attention by the Sake Brewery President on their new season release was absolutely amazing timing and not planned. I think James asked the Shinto gods to help out in this regard, don't you think? Please come back to Japan again!

The highlight attraction was obviously the Yutoku Inari Shrine with its full bloom Cherry Trees in view for as far as ones eyes can see. Just incredible!! The tour with Shannon Lefebvre was a great experience. He took very good care to explain the history and culture of the areas. He did not rush through the tour and was open to added suggestions. The tour was a lot of fun and a relaxing time learning about the cultural significance of Nagasaki and its involvement in the landscape of WWII. It was a positive experience learning about the people of this region and their role in Japanese society as a whole. Shannon Lefebvre was very knowledgable and informative and was open to questions and discussions during the tour. The tour mixed history and fun experiences together. He took us at the end of the tour for a great hot steam foot soak that was amazing and a nice end to the day of sightseeing. A few days after the tour he sent to us a memory keepsake video from our tour together. It was a wonderful thoughtful and unique keepsake surprise. We highly recommend this tour if you are interested in Nagasaki, its history, its food and its culture as it relates to the Japanese culture. More than half a year after spending an ambitious Fukuoka-Nagasaki Day with Shannon, my children still randomly say "Remember Shannon? He was so so cool!" That he was! Endlessly kind, entertaining, and efficient—Shannon took us to IYKYK spots that we would never have found on our own. I'd recommend Shannon to anyone interested in history, architecture, crafts, photography, food, and sake! We've kept in touch and would love to tour with him again when we return to Fukuoka!
I am so glad that your 3 wonderful kids still remember me. They were obviously well researched and knew so much about Japan even before me met. We had a wonderful time touring Fukuoka region and Nagasaki with Shannon our Aussie guide who has lived in Japan for so long that he’s essentially Japanese in all but appearance! We felt very comfortable and safe with him. A very knowledgeable guide who customised our tour according to our requests and needs. Our two boys thoroughly enjoyed themselves too and we learnt loads about Japanese history and culture. I absolutely recommend Shannon to all English-speaking visitors to the Kyushu region; rest assured that he is well-versed in Japanese customs and traditions, showing off Japan to its full potential. It is not easy to get a guide in Japan who is both fluent in English and Japanese.
