Excellent very friendly all of them, a very pleasant and special moment. We enjoyed it very much, Oscar and all his team very attentive and dedicated. I highly recommend it, as a must when visiting Oaxaca .
This was a great workshop! I learned to make mole, ice cream, and Oaxacan hot chocolate and it was all delicious. Chef Oscar was a great guide, explaining the significance of each dish and the cultural events where they are eaten. I was the only one there so I got a very hands on and personalised experience. All the staff were lovely too!
A very fun experience to do on an afternoon while checking out Oaxaca City! Fun making and tasting easy chocolate and mole recipes.
Had a great time making some chocolate mole, ice cream and tortillas. Learnt about Oaxacan chocolate and got to enjoy it afterwards. Fun way to spend an hour. Mentioned we are vegetarian and made the mole to suit.
Chef Oscar & staff provided an extraordinary hands-on culinary experience PLUS amazing Oaxacan dishes! Highly recommend! Thanks, Chef Oscar for sharing your expertise ❤️💚🤍
I really liked the chef, but the class went by very quickly and you don’t really learn how to cook mole, you mostly watch the chef do it. The food was very delicious.
Chef Oscar was awesome. He explained to us how to prepare chocolate from scratch (we toasted, peeled, and ground the beans) and how to use it to make a beverage with water, mole, and ice cream. He was engaging, fun, and invited all of us to participate in the cooking experience. We also got to eat the mole we prepared (with chicken) and chocolate ice cream. It was a fun and memorable experience. Highly recommended!!
I loved the class! Casa Crespo is a very beautiful place. Chef Oscar shares very interesting information and the chocolate was delicious!
This chocolate making class kept me on my toes with Chef Oscar instructing us how to make hot chocolate, chocolate mole, and chocolate ice cream, all with a simple traditional Oaxaca recipe. We even heated our own tortillas with a colorful hibiscus stain design to accompany our chicken mole. Dinner, drink and dessert included! I bought a couple of his (reasonably priced!) fresh chocolate to take home and make my own hot cocoa.
Chocolate is not just a delicious drink or pastry... it is an experience that unites tradition with taste. At home Crespo I have discovered to delight my palate and my spirit with his extraordinary recipes... Gracias Chef Oscar
