This trip involves visiting the Uros floating island and Amantani island on the first day, staying at a local's house overnight and then visiting Taquile island on day 2. The trip itself was impeccably organised and the guides were fantastic. The local hosts, accommodation and food were also great. However, I feel that the second day paled in comparison to the first as it involved a long uphill hike followed by just a traditional song and dance performance, lunch and then climbing down 500+ steps to reach the boat. Unless you are a hiking aficionado, there is nothing much to be gained from the second day, which is mostly spent on long boat rides. The ride to Taquile island in the morning was very choppy due to winds and waves, which are apparently the norm. For the casual tourist, a one day tour comprising visits to Uros and Amantani islands is more than enough.

The experience was quite disappointing overall. Our guide and the local hosts were very friendly — that was the best part. However, the organization of the tour needs serious improvement. We spent over 8 hours on the boat in total during the 2 days, which is excessive and unbalanced. Most of the time was wasted on long, slow transfers rather than meaningful experiences. Accommodation was extremely basic — electricity and toilet were outside the room, and the shower had only cold water. This type of tour is suitable only for those who enjoy expedition-style, very simple travel, not for regular tourists. The itinerary was unnecessarily stretched with long explanations and little real activity. Everything could easily be done within one single day. Honestly, it was one of the most boring and unnecessarily long tours I've ever taken. The planning was poor — about 90% of the time felt wasted. The experience was quite disappointing. We spent more than 8 hours on the boat during the 2 days, which I found totally excessive. Most of the time was spent on long and slow transfers, rather than real or interesting experiences. The accommodation was very basic — the electricity and bathroom were outside the room, and the shower had only cold water. This tour would only recommend it to those who enjoy an expedition-type or very simple trip, not to normal tourists. The itinerary was too long, with many explanations and little real activity. Zážitok bol veľmi rozporuplný. Sprievodca aj miestni ubytovatelia boli milí, to oceňujem. No samotná organizácia výletu bola pre mňa veľkým sklamaním. Celkovo sme na lodi strávili viac ako 8 hodin za 2 dni, čo je absolútne neprimerné. Viac času sme travili presunmi než zážitkami. Basket ball veľmi pomalá a nezáživná – miestami až úavná. Ubytovanie bolo veľmi jednoduché – elektrina aj toaleta mime izby, kúpeľňa provided to sprcha iba so studenou vodou. Tento typ výletu odporúčam len tým, ktorí majú radi expeditionné a jednoduché podmienky, nie bežným turistom. Program bol zbytočne natiahnutý, obsahoval množstvo dlhých prednášok a výstupov, not bad realneho obsahu. Všetko by sa dalo bez problémov absolvovať počas jedného dňa. Úprimne, ide or jeden z najnudnejších a najzbytočne dlhých výletov, aké som zažil. Organizácia by si zaslúžila zásadné prepracovanie, pretože 90 % času sme doslova zabili.

The islands visited were amazing. It was very interesting to see the different cultures on the islands. The homestay cooking was delicious. There is no bathroom in room but there is electricity. No wifi although a great set up to charge phone. Bruno was an excellent leader he had alot of knowledge and spoke several languages. The boat is very slow.

Absolutely a MUST!! We loved the experience of sleeping in the Amantani island. The family we stayed with, was lovely. On top of that, the views are great from the island.
