We had an amazing time on this trip today, our guide was super friendly and really made the experience. Super interesting and gave us plenty of time to take photos and explore which was appreciated. I would definitely do this trip again and recommend it to anyone considering doing it!
Peter our guide was well past our expectations and he did turn our HOLIDAY☺️☺️☺️ into a memorable 1. Good light itenary. Enjoyed every moment. 😍😍😍
Peter was an amazing tour guide and filled our day with loads of information about both Bulgaria and Serbia. The monasteries were beautiful and worth the trip.
Great tour. We were able to see some incredibly old churches and monastery that had incredible frescos on the walls. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the history and entertaining
Our guide was such a courteous and warm lady. The tour design itself included beautiful places in Serbia and Bulgaria. Highly recommended!
If you want to get away from the city and see some beautiful countryside, this is the way to go! This is a private tour - I was traveling alone and a little worried about how it would work with just me and a guide in the car all day, but Maria was an awesome guide. She is very knowledgeable but makes it into an interesting conversation rather than just telling you the standard tour info. The drive in Serbia included gorgeous scenery. There's not a lot to see at the monastery, it's just a calm beautiful place. One of the monks invited us to sit and have tea and honey (locally produced). After that we went to a nice restaurant for a traditional Serbian meal. At the end we stopped at Boyana church at the outskirts of Sofia. That part was a bit rushed (there were a lot of other people there, and you only get limited time inside the church). My only critique is that I would have rather spent more time enjoying the Serbian countryside and skip Boyana. But overall, this trip was one of the highlights of the time I spent in Sofia.
The tour guides were incredible nice. felt like they were my friends for a while. I know Game of Thrones locations were not in here but I kind of felt like being there
This was a decent day out. A trip across the border to visit a small monastery. Lunch with traditional Serbian cuisine. The food was delicious. Then back to Sofia to visit the Boyana church. The guide was very knowledgeable and informative. There was an issue with being picked up on time. We were told 8.00 am on the webpage. However, guide said pick ups are always 8.30. No wow factor on this trip, so the average rating.

Wonderful trip. Our guide was so nice and interesting. Thank you!

Maria was an excellent guide during our day trip to the Poganovo Monastery in Serbia and then the Boyana church in Sofia. Her consideration was appreciated and we benefited from having Poganovo almost to ourselves just long enough to begin to experience the very special nature and spirituality of the place and its monks. Though there are few monks these days, they were very friendly and hospitable sharing their delicious herbal tea, acacia flower honey and a dram or 2 of Raki. This warm welcome combined with the beauty of the place and the wonderful frescoes were the highlight of the day. A very good lunch was included elsewhere and the mountain journey a welcome contrast to the city. The Boyana Church was worth a visit but Poganova is such a different way of life, still offering the tranquility that is rooted in another century that we can highly recommend this particular trip (with Maria as knowledgable guide) as the most delightful way to learn about Serbia and Bulgaria. Don't miss it!
