It was my first time in Cappadocia, but thanks to the clear explanations from the guide Hasan in fluent Japanese, I felt the formation of the beautiful scenery and the deep history of Cappadocia were even more charming, and the sunset at Red Valley, which wasn't included, was added on short notice, allowing me to have a wonderful day. I participated in a private tour with a Japanese guide on September 14, 2026. We were able to efficiently tour the representative sights of Cappadocia, such as the old town of Çavuşin, the fairy chimneys of Paşabağ, Devrent Imagination Valley, the pottery manufacturing center of Avanos, the Göreme Panorama, Uçhisar Castle, Pigeon Valley, and the underground city of Özkonak. You can see many strange rocks that look like animals and various things, such as mushroom rocks and camel rocks, and the guide accompanied you everywhere, carefully explaining the history of Cappadocia and Turkish culture. The guide who was in charge is Turkish, but has lived in Japan for a long time and speaks Japanese very fluently. The guide was wonderful, and it was clear that they cherished both Japan and Turkey. Also, they were very friendly and kind, and not only did they explain the tourist spots, but they also taught me how to take good photos with the fairy chimneys of Cappadocia in the background. Furthermore, we had many memorable photos taken, such as videos of us walking through the underground city tunnels using our smartphones, and funny pictures where the camel rock looked like it was on the palm of our hand. Also, while listening to our wishes, they guided us to a Turkish carpet center that wasn't on the itinerary, and a shop with stones that change color depending on the viewing angle, and flexibly adjusted the schedule to match our preferences. I had lunch at the buffet restaurant "Han" in Abano. There was a wide variety of dishes, and I was able to have a delicious and enjoyable lunch. Although the tour price does not include lunch or admission fees to each facility, even taking those into account, the tour as a whole is very cost-effective, and I am very satisfied. This tour is recommended even for first-time visitors to Cappadocia. If we have the chance to visit Cappadocia again, I would definitely like to ask this guide.

The couple joined a private tour. My guide, Wart, was the best! He explained not only Cappadocia, but also the history, culture and background of Turkey very carefully and clearly (he also taught me the correct knowledge about the often mistaken information of Turkey!).
