Think very carefully about booking a balloon ride with this company! Had our booking cancelled the evening before it was scheduled (after originally booking months in advance) because they had decided to take a bigger group booking! Not sure exactly whether it was the balloon company (Kaya Balloons) or the travel agency (Anka Travel), as both blamed each other! Even more disappointing as we had all traveled from UK for this once in a lifetime experience. The whole service was diabolical, and it took me all day to try and get a response from someone about the status of our scheduled ride. Initial information was that everything was fine and then late in the day, they had cancelled everything, leaving no time to try and make alternative arrangements. The only minor positive was that we did get a swift full refund. But that was of only minor comfort as the whole family had been looking forward to seeing this magical place via a sunrise balloon trip. Very disappointed.

My experience in Cappadocia was great because of Murat our guide. We were pretty bummed out that our hot air balloon ride was cancelled out first, but we didnt let that ruin our plans. The visits to the underground city was mindblowing, and I know it was, due to our guide that was there to show us and answer our question both in Spanish and English. Also enjoyed the hike through the Valleys and all the commentary and interesting facts I learned about of Turkey. Good company with even better employees, it looks like the reviews are consistent with this feeling. Keep up the good work you guys. Already thinking about visiting Turkey again and I haven't left yet. Thanks, Fili

<p>The tour of Cappdocia was overall great- there are a few stops that probably could be cut out and seem like filler, but our guide, Murat, was great, and clearly knew his stuff. </p> <p>Unfortunately, our hot air balloon ride which seems to be totally separate than the tour was not ideal. It's a fantastic experience, but our operator went too high in elevation and we literally had to make a detoured landing onto a field of grass, far away from where we took off. We never felt unsafe but it was unnerving and a waste of time while they figured it all out . I would recommend the company train the operators to stay on course, unless it's not avoidable.</p>

Went to Cappadocia solely for the hot air balloon. It delivered, all expectations and beyond. What a sight to see the balloons rising and gliding at sunrise. Pictures do not do justice. Up in the air is peace, serenity, out of this world feeling. Love it love it. I was alone in my quadrangle space inside the basket, I knew the pilot (lucky me). What a lifetime memory. Thank you Kaan at Royal Balloons. He perfectly landed our basket and balloon on top of a trailer behind the truck. That was something else.

The balloon ride is a must! Really enjoyed it and the hiking in the valley was wonderful! Wear some hiking shoes! The underground city are just amazing and our guide was really friendly and polite and informative! There was supposed to be a breakfast but we didn’t get anything. Also the bus was very hot despite air conditioning! They charged for the balloon picture which we thought was included in the total price. We spent too long in the carpets factory as some tourists wanted to buy carpets!! Some of us really didn’t want to spend all day waiting for them!!! Lunch was substandard for the money we spent when compared to any restaurant in the city! My hotel offered me a similar trip 100$ cheaper! If it wasn’t for the trip advisor advice i would have saved 100$ and maybe got a better service and trip for the money spent! Check with your hotel before booking anywhere else!!! They might have a better offer.

<p>The balloon ride was amazing!! They had 150 balloons up that morning with 20 people in each balloon. The organization was amazing and I would recommend this to all who are interested. The views are great and the operator was very good. The day tour with a hike through the rose and red canyons was also fun and we saw great formations.</p>

<p>the balloon ride was great amazing views and the pilot was very good with so many in the air. The description says Following a light breakfast, board your piloted balloon we were picked up and not given anything at all so was very hungry by the time we returned to our hotel. The Rose Valleys for a guided walk was nice but as there were quite a few of us and only really room to walk single file i heard very little of what the guild was saying it was more of a march, but i did enjoy it this said. The underground city of Kaymakli was very much worth a visit i found this to be the best part of the trip and the guild was very knowledgeable. Food was a large buffet felt very generic but there was plenty of choice.</p>

<p>A must do activity when in Goreme - Make sure you have a few days as you cannot be guaranteed that there will be a flight everyday</p>
