Our tour to Abu Simbel was unforgettable, all thanks to Mustafa. He is an exceptionally warm, educated, and passionate guide with a profound knowledge of the temple's history. What made it extra special was the wonderful teaching material he shared with us via WhatsApp during the tour, giving us great resources to keep learning. If you want a guide who truly brings ancient history to life, Mustafa is the absolute best!

Information such as the meeting time will be sent via WhatsApp the day before. The bus to Abu Simbel was comfortable too. After meeting the guide on site and listening to the explanation in English, you will have free time. I was able to see many tourist spots!

We had a nice time, but it was definitely not because of our tour guide. While the drivers were OK and the tempels were fantastic, our guide was of little use. He made us wait for 20 minutes at the entry for others who were joining our group and were late. That effected our experience greatly as we only had 2h to see everything. But what disappointed us the most was the lack of interesting details in guides presentation. He talked for about 10 minutes and did tell some interesting facts, but in the end we felt like we would like another 10-20 minutes of details. If we were to choose again, we would opt for the cheaper “only transportation” option (as all we heard could be very quickly learnt online), though it was only 5$ cheaper.

Starting from booking and received the greetings email from Nice tour, they arranged everything in advance just to make sure we had a pleasant journey to Abu Simbel. From a very smooth pick up service, a 4-hour drive from Aswan to Abu Simbel. Met another local tour guide Ahmed right at the ticket office which’s a smooth transition. Picked up at 3:45, arrived Abu around 8:15am, spent nearly 2 hours there and return to the hotel at 2pm. It’s really amazing and if you have time to visit Abu Simbel, we would highly recommend Nice Tours.

The pickup was on time and the van was quite clean and cozy with security belt. One thing that should be more clear is the fact that the price of the entrance ticket to Abu Simbel was not included and was mandatory, I thought that ticket was optional to go inside the temple not to see the temple from outside.

For the price, this tour is definitely worth it! It was one of the few tours I did in a group and the site is pretty awesome. It’s a long drive there and back, so be prepared for that. The stop at a coffee shop is meh, but you’re in the middle of the desert at like 6am - beggars can’t be choosers. The guide was good - it wasn’t too long, but added to the experience. There was also sufficient time to explore and take pictures. If you want a ton of history, you may want a private guide. But if you want something quick and dirty and/or focus more on the visuals, this tour will do the trick. The car guide wrangled us as needed, but was there basically for logistics. I’m glad I went and would recommend to others - met some cool people on the tour too.
