It’s been a really nice experience. Although the bus trip to Cat Ba has been quite long (2h30-3h00), it has been really worth it. The boat, the tripulation, the food and the bay are amazing. If I would have to make a suggestion it would be to spend some more time both at the village and in the kayaking.

This was fantastic trip with outstanding guide who was both knowledgable and organised, moving things along nicely. Components of the trip were well thought through with visiting Bay with amazing views, going to hidden mountain village, kayaking and swimming. Bus was of high quality and air conditioned. Boat was well appointed with great top deck viewing area. To my surprise (for mid range level trip) buffet lunch was pretty good with vegeterian options available. The only problem was quality of wine by the glass. Just one white and one red. I accept that most people on such trip do not care about it. Scenary of the Bay was just amazing. My best, non city, views ever. Better than Zermatt, Wengen, Corsica or Adriatic coast in Croatia. Definite must see when visiting Hanoi.

The experience has been very, very good. We had a great time and were able to enjoy the experience a lot. The best part of all was the guide Bing Bing, you will just laugh at his jokes. Do not hesitate to make the most of the day.

Wonderful experience! We did a day tour and our guide Binh (Billy) was exceptional! He was very clear with instructions, itinerary , gave us some historic facts and was funny! He also took lovely photos on his nice camera and sent them to us free of charge. He went the extra mile to make sure each person had a positive experience. Also the boat is so nice and modern! Felt very luxurious. Great food and helpful staff on the boat too!

Easily the best thing we did in Cat Ba, and genuinely ridiculous value for under 40 quid. They picked us up right from our hotel in a little minibus with zero fuss and got us straight down to the pier. Our guide, Binh, was brilliant from the off—really down-to-earth, dead funny, and actually told us interesting stuff about the floating villages rather than just rattling off a script. Lunch was far better than it had any right to be for that price. Proper fresh seafood, and the cooked oysters with scallions and peanuts were unbelievable. The barman was lovely as well, knocking out decent cocktails on the sundeck all afternoon. If you go, I recommend just taking some decent sliders or flip flops as the cycling isn’t that intense. Also make sure you’ve got a bit of cash on you for the drinks and tipping the crew. Couldn't recommend it enough.

The transfer from our hotel Old Quarter Hanoi was done smoothly, the bus was clean and comfortable for the journey to the pier where we boarded the Serenity Grandeur. The Cruise ship was top class, well managed and the lunch served was excellent Kudos to our Guide Binh who was very courteous, helpful and attentive in serving us. Thank you Binh.
