My three days of solo lessons with Brian and Cody were amazing. I learned more in three days than I have in the past few years of surfing in California. Brian and Cody were great to be with and so wise in how they teach. The waves (and scenery) in West Maui were incredible. I highly recommend and will be back myself in a few months.
An incredible experience! Brian coached my session and he is phenomenal. He taught me the basics quickly and got us out into the surf in no time! Each moment spent was directed at making sure I got the most out of my experience. He is a master of his craft, judging what waves are good, explaining positioning and form on the fly, while also making sure I wasn’t wearing myself out. Brian tailors the lesson to your fitness level flawlessly and keeps the vibe chill and relaxed no matter how big the waves are. Brian’s 30 years of experience is worth every penny and I will recommend this to anyone interested in surfing. 10/10 experience, you won’t find a better instructor. I hope this review helps!
Brian was a great instructor. I booked a lesson as an introduction to surfing in Maui and to give me some pointers on turning. Ukumehame is a stunning place to surf. The surf was a little small for my lesson but that meant there weren’t many people on the waves which was nice. Brian also offered to help me out with a board on another day so I’d have more time on the waves.
