Everything was excellent except the meeting place at the beginning of the tour. The tour guides were aware of the concern because apparently it happens all the time. I wish there had been a visual or a sign or something specific for us to look out for because the address puts you in a different area. That being said, they did call me to ask me where I was so we didn't miss the tour.
I did the tour with Mate, who was absolutely charming and passionate about the history and his country! He’s an excellent guide, very knowledgeable about the area, and a huge fan of the series. I highly recommend taking the tour with him :)
Mate was the tour guide for this experience and he is phenomenal at what he does. Not only do you learn all about the show and the filming locations, but you also get an extraordinary glimpse into the history of Diocletian's Palace and the city of Split. Plan for about 2 hours, and book the evening tour if possible... Groups are much smaller at that time and the tour becomes much more personable!
This tour was better than expected specifically because of Emil’s enthusiasm and knowledge of history. This was your I would actually repeat!
We thoroughly enjoyed our tour which included both the GOT filming locations throughout the palace and the amazing history of Diocletian’s Palace. Our guide was Imeal and was a perfect fit for the job.
Very nice tour to see the palace and some of the Game of Thrones sites. My tour guide Mate / Matt was super knowledgeable of both Croatia and the TV series. His enthusiasm shined through. In addition to learning about the filming locations, we learned a ton about Split. Highly recommend.

His knowledge of the show was seriously impressive, but what made the tour even better was how much he knew about the history of Split and Diocletian’s Palace. He brought the filming locations to life while also giving us a much deeper appreciation for the city itself. Mate was enthusiastic, engaging, and happy to answer every question we had. Hugely enjoyable 2 hours , most of it is inside the Palace so out initial concerns about the 37 degree heat and an 11.30am start didn’t transpire . Our guide Marin was a real character , very funny and he really made the event
