We booked the half-day (morning) rock climbing with King Climbers during our time in Railay. It was easy to book directly at their base on the walking street, and they had plenty of availability. We booked the day before our course. You climb in small groups with one instructor, so there were 4 of us, including me and my husband. The mixed abilities of the group did prove a bit tricky as the other couple had better ability and one very experienced climber. Our guide did try to accommodate more 'beginner' routes but in the end I was only able to try 3 routes which was a bit disappointing. That said, they provide you with everything you need - harness, shoes, chalk bag, helmet, and give great instruction and encouragement as you climb. I just wish my ability was better! All the instructors know each other so they do share the routes which helps. Because of that you could really book any firm, as they all charge the same rate, but we had a good experience overall with King. It was awesome to climb in such an iconic location.

We had a really fun half a day with King Climbers. We were picked up early in the morning from a hotel in Ao Nang, transported via mini bus to a ferry for a morning boat ride. Arrived at a shop - which was very busy - to get organised with the climbing gear. We were assigned instructor with a group of 5 which is probably a bit too large for experienced climbers but fine for the weekend ones or beginners. The spots are busy but we wanted to do the iconic walls facing the water and the island. Overall the climbing was maybe 3 hours and unless you're experienced you will need breaks to rest and loosen your muscles. We really enjoyed the half day and would recommend anyone to spend a day there rock climbing and around the island.

I went with my two friends for the half day climbing and it was sweeet! One of our best days in Thailand. There are many routes so whatever level you are, you will be entertained. The climbing community in Railay is so fun and supportive.

Great half day! You are sharing the wall with your group and others so in total I got 5 climbs which for me was perfect as they are long!! Definitely also could’ve had 8/9 if I jumped around and went full out. Great fun first time climbing outdoors. Plus our belayer was great fun!

Really good climbing guides,very well organized.climbing was fun. Got our money's worth. Climbing was only possible in top Rope.Nevertheless, there were easy and more difficult routes. King climbers adapts the route selection to the climbing experience.

It was such an incredible experience, the mentor was fun and professional, would never forget this experience. Climbing requires strength and endurance, but it is worth trying.

Great experience. I was a keen climber years ago - very happy with their safety work and assistance. They were brilliant with my sons (new climbers aged 11 and 15) and we each got four good climbs in each. It was on time, safe, and great fun. Highly recommended. Beautiful place as well with an hour to grab a bite in Railay before taking the long tail back to town.

First time climbing outdoors, it was brilliant. Would reccomend for all levels and our guide was really encouraging, direction to help and lovely! 10/10 would climb with them again!! 😁😁

We have paid for half day (4 hours) activity and we have climbed only 2 hours. We have met the group at 9am at the office, we have arrived to the climbing sector at 9am and we have started to climb at 10am. At 12pm the guide has said "it's enough" and we wanted to climb more, at least until 13pm as per the activity description. Our surprise was that the guide left the sector activity without saying goodbye, so we have gone by our own at 12.10am. The rest of climbing guides from another centers have continued with the activity in the sector until 13pm. If you want to climb, I recommend you going to another 6 climbing centers to ensure you can enjoy the activity for the hole 4 hours payed. The sector views are very beautiful!

Very careful! You get ripped off over time: 2 hours effective instead of 4 hours. Summary: You meet at 9am, you get to sector 9:30, while they ride the tracks and start climbing it's almost 10. To our surprise, at 12pm you guided them without saying anything, they started to collect everything, we insisted on climbing some more way and we were denied it. Besides, we were left alone in the sector, so we had to go back to the office on our own. A little strange... A very big disappointment with this Enterprise, it seems they only look at the business. I highly recommend going to another of the many climbing centers on Railay, anyone other than King Climbers.
