クラビからのアオタラン湾とホン島での小グループシーカヤック

While we thoroughly enjoyed the almost 2 hours kayaking through mangroves/canyons of Ao Thalane Bay with the wonderful Otto as our guide, we were truly disappointed in not getting to do the sea kayaking portion of the trip at Hong Island. While we ending up having essentially a private kayaking tour as nobody other than our group of 4 signed up, if you say the tour offers sea kayaking at Hong Island then it should be offered. We were told at the morning briefing that sea kayaking was not included. Felt a bit ripped off. While I understand the disclaimer of trip itinerary could be changed due to weather, there were no weather issues that would have prevented our kayaking at Hong Island. We signed up for this trip to spend the bulk of the day kayaking and that's not what was delivered to us. Instead of lunch at Ranger Station on Hong Island, we ate at some mediocre restaurant in Ao Thalane Bay area. Not a big deal for this to change, but seems like the trip as now structured is not as described in the sales info.

The pickup was well organised The guide was informative and attentive The food was fine We did find the kiaking on the sea on the way back quite hard😊

This tour was easily one of the highlights of our 2 week trip in Thailand. We were picked up in Ao Nang at the meeting place & taken to Ao Thalane bay where we received a safety briefing before getting into the Kayaks. There are no words for how stunning the scenery is. We felt incredibly lucky. Although we had no prior experience of sea kayaking, we felt in safe hands with our guide who was both informative and helpful. We continued the day by going to Hong Island, which was also beautiful & well worth going to. Highly recommend for a fantastic day in Krabi.

The tour guide for the sea kayak is very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. Ao Thalane is really a beautiful place to visit via kayak. I saw crabs, monitor lizards, mudskippers and kingfishers. Hong Island is equally wonderful, and I had great fun wading around in the lagoon since I cannot swim. Travelling in a small group is an experience worth paying a bit more for.

When kayaking and exploring the guide makes all the difference - our guide A (sic) made it excellent. From finding hidden beaches and James Bond scenes to explaining the history and environment locally. While a long day, it was very enjoyable and great mix of kayaking (6km) and beaches (in the Hong Island group)

From the transfer started to the lunch everything was super organized. This 6 km tour was just great. In a small group we explored the mangroves. Our guide was excellent. We saw monkeys, took a break at a small bay in between and then received a good lunch menu. Highly recommended!

The beach at Koh Hong was beautiful with white powdery sand. The snorkeling was great even though the visibility was 2-3 meters. The water was shallow enough you could see everything clearly- sea cucumbers, giant clams, puffer fish, coral (soft and hard) and all sorts of tropical fish. The lunch was some of the best thai food we had on our trip and it was included in the price of the tour. Finally, kayaking through the mangrove forest of Ao Thalane was breathtaking. We saw a troop of monkeys and mad our way to a cave and then through a slot canyon with tropical trees clinging to walls of the cliffs on either side. It Was AWSOME! What a great excursion.

We were a small nice troupe of 6 people, all collected one after the other by the hotel. Our guide was just amazing. He took a lot of time to explain everything to us and show everything. Snorkeling on Hong Island was great and not crowded. Afterwards we made a detour with the longtail boat into a bay where we could linger briefly in the ankle high water with many starfish. After a lovingly arranged lunch at the kayak station we got a short kayak instruction and off we went. The tour through the mangroves was breathtaking. When the rain started, the scenery was perfect and unforgettable. Our guide knew exactly when to be where and at what time to escape the crowds of tourists, so we could only enjoy the great nature with our small group. At other times, the kayaks squeeze together, but our guide had super time management. This excursion is highly recommended. I would repeat it. Just great, loving, relaxing and breathtaking. Also for people who have never been in a kayak before, as have we.
