A excellent full days trip, driver Kavishan contacted us before to make sure when and where to be collected, our hotel was difficult to get close so decided a easier collection point, he was bang on time, exceptionally knowledgeable and friendly, full of local knowledge and happy to answer any questions, the tour itself was just right with local culture visiting matale (temple) Dambulla cave temple, ranweli spice garden which for us was perfect, and then finishing off with the must see Sigiriya lion rock - it’s a tough climb but well worth it to see the spectacular views ! Kavishan was helpful throughout the whole day, willing to stop anywhere and totally flexible, have been on numerous trips and he is by far one of the best guides/drivers we came across

What an absolutely incredible experience with Lanka Safe Tours! We booked the “Kandy to Sigiriya Day Tour and Dambulla Cave Temple with Private Vehicle” and from the very beginning to the very end, the service was exceptional. Our driver and guide, Kavishan (Kavi), was simply outstanding. Polite, professional, well-spoken, and incredibly knowledgeable, he made every part of the journey enjoyable. His warm personality, positive energy, and genuine care made us feel comfortable and looked after throughout the day. Kavi shared so much fascinating information about Sri Lanka, its culture, history, and local life, making the experience far more meaningful than just visiting the sights. Nothing was ever too much trouble for him. What impressed us most was his dedication and kindness. Towards the end of the day, heavy rain started, yet Kavi insisted on making sure we were dropped safely right at our hotel. Reaching our accommodation required exceptional driving skills, patience, and local knowledge, and he handled it all with ease and a smile. We booked late the night before but our driver was ready and waiting at 08:00 sharp. We went to Sri Muthumari Amman Kovil Hindu temple (3/5), spice gardens (4/6) the dambla temple (4/5) and sigiria (5/5)

We had a great day trip to Dambulla and Sigriya from kandy with Dinesh today. Dinesh was great from the time he picked us up from our hotel this morning until he dropped our hotel key off to us this evening. We had accidentally left in his car. Dinesh managed the sometimes chaotic traffic on this little gem of an island with confidence and ease, and we felt relaxed and safe with him at the wheel. You cant go wrong if you choose to drive with Dinesh. He is the best!

So, the not so good bits first. The description said guide included which seemed to infer we would have a guide at the temples and Sigiriya but these were extra cost if you wanted them. Minor point no water supplied as stated in description. Our driver Nazly was very good and we felt safe with his driving but he was not very talkative and didn’t point out much. Sigiriya is very busy so be prepared and do your research.

Our guide Naz is an excellent driver,extremely knowledgeable and speaks good English.And he is a great bloke. The tour with him was amazing. Highly recommended.

Excellent day trip from Kandy. We were able to view the temples, Ayurvedic spice garden and Sigiriya rock easily at a relaxed pace. Big thanks to our driver Fazli, who was an excellent and accommodating guide. He drove us safely, and chose some great places for us to eat breakfast and lunch when we were hungry, and went out of his way to buy us umbrellas when it started to rain. Highly recommend, thanks!

Excellent trip from Kandy, the temple trips, Ayurvedic spice garden visit and Sigiriya rock were easily doable in the day without feeling rushed. Big thanks to our driver Fazli who was an excellent and accommodating guide. He got us there safely, guided us really well and stopped at great breakfast and lunch spots when we were hungry. He went out of his way to stop to buy us umbrellas when it started raining. Thanks!
