MEANINGFUL EXPERIENCE
This museum was so great and worth to explore. Each display has their own meaningful of peace value and show you the history truth intensely that you never want to live in war again. I think should visit once and use the audio guide to know more how deeply this museum tend to spread the peace message. One of the best place in my trip!

We live in the flicker. May it last as long as the old earth keeps rolling! But darkness was here yesterday.
I travelled to Vietnam in August 2026. I had no intention of visiting war sites and things like the tunnels. I did a tour on a bike of Ho Chi Minh city which included the War Remnants Museum. I can honestly say that nothing has ever had such an emotional impact on me like this museum. Two rooms; The War Crimes Room and the Agent Orange Museum hit me very hard. I walked through both rooms with tears rolling down my face. Not moist eyes, openly crying. These beautiful people of Vietnam are the most gentle on earth and nothing on earth can justify the treatment the USA (and we as allies) inflicted on these people.
The most amazing thing is the respect and love the Vietnamese people treat you with when you're in their country. They are the most beautiful people on earth.

Exciting tour
Very informative and fun tour, although very or even too graphic! (Especially regarding the damage caused by Agent Orange to the population!). Very good time, however, and a necessary visit to understand the country!

Americans the liberators?
Seen the movies already, always from the ‘right perspective’ the good guys.
An honest narration and rendering from Vietnamese view. In short, the war was primarily America's own interest and a lie to its own people. Vietnam was a mass slaughter approved by the army leadership. No that so-called big brother has turned out to be a wolf in sheep’s clothing for many after ‘45... or worse...!

To visit absolutely.
An informative but upsetting visit, which makes it possible to become aware of the atrocity of this conflict which is not very far away in fact.
An indispensable visit whose photos and comments deeply mark.

Not bad.
A big museum with lots of historical material that confronts the cruelty of the war.

Gruesome in places
A lot of exhibits, some of them fairly gruesome from the war. Free tickets when you take the hop on hop off bus tour. Lots of pictures, but also large static displays like helicopters and planes.
Thought provoking and a great history lesson.
Was busy, so consider going early.

Very insightful tour
The tour guide was very helpful and knowledgeable. The experience was very insightful, especially coming from a western country without much in-depth knowledge on the war.

Tour of War Remnants Museum
Very confronting, but extremely important museum that I recommend everyone visit while in HCMC. The exhibits are in great detail and the guides do a fantastic job of shining light on each section of the museum
