トラムで行くイスタンブール寄港地観光：港からの半日プライベートツアー

I spent a day in Istanbul with my private guide, Emel. She was suggested to me by a friend who is also a guide but was unavailable that day. I trusted my friend, Duygu, would place me in capable hands, and I was not disappointe! Duygu (who was my tour guide on a previous trip) helped me sort what to see/do and a schedule for the day before I arrived (this was not my first visit to the city) via WhatsApp. Cost and logistics details were all sorted in advance. Emel met me at my hotel and we mapped out the day, confirming the plan was all things I still wanted to do. As we set out, I suspect people thought we were old friends the way we were talking along the way. We stopped for breaks throughout the day, beautiful views and lunch (cost of lunch is not included in the cost of the tour, but this is to be expected). I also paid to enter Chora Church (about 20 Euros) but everywhere else was free of charge. Walking and using public transport (trams) was very convenient - you can just tap your credit card at a station (no special ticket necessary) and hop on. Emel also made suggestions about places to eat, hammam experiences and other bits to help make the most of my visit. Overall we spent a lovely day and I'm glad I got to do so with Emel. Duygu also followed up with me at the end of the day. Thank you both for a great day in Istanbul!

Erkan was our guide for the day. It was so nice to be lead around this incredible city. All 4 of us enjoyed the experience. I don’t know how he keeps all the facts in his head! Experience I guess. We wanted to have some Turkish baklava so he took us to a wonderful bakery. It was delicious! He had a great sense of humour. We appreciate that. Thanks Erkan. He bought our tickets where needed and paid for our tram ride. At the end of the tour we squared up with him. So easy.

Semih was wonderful. On time knowledgeable and enthusiastic about Turkey. Considerate of our old legs he managed our pace well. Highly recommend!

He met us at the cruise terminal and took us to the old city by tram, which added to our experience. We had a great afternoon of history and camaraderie. Duygu was an amazing and very friendly tour guide. She made the day very interesting with discussions of the history of the Istanbul sites we visited. Duygu also helped us skip the ticket purchase lines by advance purchasing tickets to the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, and Topkapi Palace and by advising us to go early enough in the morning to avoid crowds. She also took us to a terrific kebab lunch place and gave us good advice before we went to the Grand Bazaar. I couldn’t recommend her more highly!

Semih gave us an amazing tour of the old town. He was very knowledgeable about the history of Istanbul and provided us with a great education about Istanbul. He was considerate of our needs and gave us choices of what we were interested to see. Semih helped us skip lengthy queues to avoid us standing in the hot sun. Really enjoyed our tour of the Hagia Sophia, Basilica Cistern, Blue Mosque, hippodrome and Grand Bazaar. Our guide was even kind enough to take us by the Spice Market as well. Highly recommend. It was a great experience.
