The tour guide treated me very kindly and answered all my questions about the temple and about Cambodian life. I can not recommend this tour enough.
We went on the private Beng Mealea tour as a couple. Sam our guide was very knowledgeable , gave us lots of information , and happy to answer any questions. He was very kind. Would recommend this tour to anyone wanting a personal guide. His english is very good.

This is a truly magical place where Man and Nature intertwine in the magnificent space almost empty of tourists when I visited in the afternoon. I was incredibly fortunate to have my guide Sambath all to myself for the tour I booked. Such a privilege and I greatly appreciated Sambath's depth of knowledge and insight about the temple and Cambodia to give me more understanding about the history and culture. A beautiful trip in the middle of nature and this never restored temple. It was my first impact with Siem Reap temples and (now that I have seen the others too) it was worth it! Sambath was a great guide, he is very knowledgeable and answered every question I asked him. He told me the whole story of the construction period of the Beng Mealea temples but also of the other temples of the Angkor complex, which I had not yet seen. I had booked the tour thinking it was with a lot of people, instead it had to be small groups and (surprisingly) I was alone: so there was great value for money for a private tour. The trip consists of an hour's drive (convenient, with air conditioning and water) to go and one to return, with about an hour's visit to the temple. On the way back, as there was a little extra time, he also took me for a drive to see a nice local village. Thank you Sambath! I recommend the trip to everyone.

Beng Mealea was a temple that I have been looking forward to visit for awhile. My trip with Sambath did not disappoint. He was so helpful in getting me across the pond and encouraged us to explore and ask questions. He knew his way around the temple and all the details with the carvings. He even told us on how to tell which god was carved on the lintels depending on the animals they were riding. Beng Mealea is a must see and Sambath will help make your visit a memorable one!
