Looking back, this was probably the easiest day of our Sri Lanka trip to organise. We did not have to think about driving, timings, or what to do next because everything was already taken care of. Our guide was genuinely friendly and we had some good conversations during the day, which made the trip feel less like a standard tour. He also gave us plenty of time at Sigiriya and the cave instead of rushing us through the places. The safari was a really nice surprise as well. We spent time watching the animals and enjoying the surroundings rather than just trying to tick places off a list. Our guide was patient throughout and the company kept the whole arrangement simple and reliable. Nothing felt forced or overly organised, which is something we really appreciated. We finished the day feeling like we had actually experienced a little more of Sri Lanka, rather than just visited a few tourist spots. Definitely a tour we would recommend.

We started with Sigiriya and the cave visit, then continued on to the safari, and somehow the whole day passed without feeling stressful or tiring. Our guide was a big part of that. Seeing elephants and other wildlife from the jeep was something we will remember from our Sri Lanka trip. The company also did a good job with the arrangements and communication, so everything felt reliable from beginning to end. We had a really enjoyable day and would genuinely recommend this tour to anyone who wants to experience Sigiriya and the wildlife without the hassle of organising it all themselves.

Our family of four took a trip from Negombo into the Sri Lankan mountains, spending two days based in and around the town of Nuwara Eliya. Rukshan, our guide/ driver, had an excellent knowledge of key places to visit on the way - we stopped at the Spice Garden, the Moonstone Mine and visited a Tea Plantation with a Safari. In Nuwara Eliya, we stayed at the beautiful Jetwing St Andrews Hotel and gardens. We took a Tuk Tuk tour, walked to a waterfall and also visited Ella's 9 arch bridge and climbed Little Adam's Peak. What a fantastic experience!

I also want to mention the company because the whole arrangement was very smooth. Communication was clear, pickup was on time, and there were no unexpected problems during the day. The guide was genuinely helpful whenever we needed anything and made sure we were comfortable throughout the trip. We came back to the hotel tired but really happy with the day. If someone is looking for a private trip where everything is organised properly but still feels personal, I would definitely recommend this company and their guide.

The morning started very smoothly with our pickup, and having a private car made the whole day feel relaxed. Sigiriya was impressive, but I really enjoyed the cave visit too because it felt completely different from the other places we had seen. We were lucky enough to see elephants and plenty of other wildlife, and being out there in the jeep made it feel much more exciting than just visiting another tourist attraction. What I appreciated most was how simple and comfortable the whole day was. No stress about finding transport or keeping track of the route ourselves. We just enjoyed the places, took photos, and went along with the day. For us, it was a really enjoyable way to see a lot in one day.

The pickup was fine, it took a little while for us to find eachother but we eventually did. The driver was kind and professional which started the trip off quite well but it went south after we started the first event (safari). They raised the prices for the entrance to almost 15,000 LKR. We were told 9,000 LKR. In the email sent to us prior to the travel they told us how much money to bring. I brought that amount. The next event (Lions rock) also required an entrance fee that the email did not mention. It was about 12,000 per person. We did not have that on us so we had to leave not being able to do that event. The next event (cave temple) again had a cost that was not disclosed in the email. We did have enough to be able to enter (3000 LKR each). Unfortunately I was wearing shorts so I could not enter because of the dress code. We were only able to do one of the three events and we felt deceived by the price changes. It left us feeling quite salty about the trip.

For me, the service was the strongest part of the experience. Nothing felt difficult or unnecessarily complicated. Our driver was respectful, drove carefully and was happy to answer questions when we had them. The vehicle was also comfortable for what is quite a full day. I would recommend JK Travels to anyone who prefers having things arranged privately rather than joining a big tour.
