This was a very enjoyable experience especially due to our tour guide James. The gentleman that greeted us took good care of us as well. He made sure we were comfortable riding our bicycles and provided cold water. James was very informative of the area and gladly answered all questions. He was entertaining and far from boring as some would be after doing this for quite some time. We also felt safe during our travels which should be #1. We definitely look forward to next time!
A very relaxing and informative way to see more of Key West than I would have been able to see on foot. It was a very informative and entertaining way to hear some of the history and have intimate engagement with a local. The people of Key West seem very genuine and warm. I can see why people would want to relocate here. This was the perfect way to end my activities for the day. I will also add that the key lime pie at the end of our journey was well worth the ride to earn the pie.
The best, the best, the best! Lenny was our guide. What an excellent way to see the island. He knew the backstory to everything. So worth every dollar spent to take this tour. Slice of Keylime pie at the end was a solid 10!!!! doing this again when we come back
This was the best way to experience Key West and see the island! The bikes were very comfortable. Our guide Lenny told us the history of every point of interest and even took our pics for us. This was hands down the best money spent! We will probably even book this bike tour again when we return to Key West.
It was great fun exploring Key West on bike during the morning before the streets became crowded! Then, we enjoyed a complimentary slice of key lime pie with our tour group, before heading out to explore more on our own. Highly recommend Key Lime Bike Tours for your Key West biking experience!
Awesome tour guide - so knowledgeable and even more fun. We had a rainy day but we adapted and my wife and I are so glad we did this. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
Book at your own risk. The Guide James was clearly high and impaired. MANY very unsafe and unconcerned incidents during the ride, including pushing a rider and she fell. But the most egregious was the following: One of the older riders ( +-65 yo ) made it very clear 3/4 of the way into the ride that she needed to stop and be picked up and driven to the end point to wait for the rest of her party. James the guide said that was not an option. The distressed rider was clearly unstable and fading. Another member of the group (not in distressed rider's party) flagged down a Key West Police cruiser to drive the woman to safety. We were horrified. I was going to attempt to have a private conversation with the owners, but after treading other reviews about James over the years, I realized it would likely not make any difference.
The safety and well-being of our guests is something we take very seriously, and what you described is not representative of the experience or standards we have and expect at Key Lime Bike Tours. We reviewed the circumstances of this tour with our team, including the owner, who was the manager on duty that day. While a guest did become overheated and needed assistance, our understanding of the events differs significantly from the account presented here. Most importantly, our review did not support the characterization that our guide intentionally pushed a guest. Before every tour, guests receive a safety briefing and are specifically instructed that if anyone feels uncomfortable, overheated, or unable to continue for any reason, our team is available to assist and to call us for any reason (we point to the phone number listed on every bike). In this instance, assistance was being coordinated when a Key West police officer kindly offered the guest a ride. Our manager personally met with and assisted the guest afterward, and she had no complaints and said "I was just feeling hot." We understand how concerning the situation may have appeared from another guest’s perspective, and we never dismiss concerns involving safety. At the same time, we feel it is important for future guests reading this review to have the additional context. Thousands of guests have explored Key West with us, and providing a fun, welcoming, and safe experience remains at the heart of what we do.
Really enjoyable bike tour, nice and leisurely pace, perfect for taking in the sights without feeling rushed. Our guide was fantastic. funny, personable, and clearly knew the area inside and out. The key lime pie at the end was the best we’ve had on our trip. highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxed, informative way to explore

We had James as our guide. Took all round Key West. Learned loads of stuff we had no idea about. Took us places that you’d never see otherwise. Bikes were easy to ride, no hills and he supplied the water. Helmets were optional. We wore ours just in case. Easy to find to meet the tour and was only with one other family of four. To finish off, he takes you to the pie shop next door for some Key Lime. Can’t beat some Key Lime in Key West. James did recommend Fort Zachary beach. We went the next day. Great beach but pretty stoney at the shore line. Recommend some sliders or beach shoes if you can’t handle stepping on stones. But that’s another review. All in all, great tour.
