Our guide was Javier and he was fantastic! Very knowledgeable, kind and funny. We enjoyed our rafting trip a lot!
We had a great time! My husband and I have done this several times with many different guides, but we wanted our family to have this experience. They were all blown away by the magic they found in their own backyard! Our guide was knowledgeable and we learned something new. 10 stars!!
Came here with a group of friends for a night bioluminescence group rafting tour. Terence, our tour guide aka captain was the best. He was very informative and super friendly! He showed us around the refuge and was able to spot a lot of wildlife during the late hours. I will definitely come back and do the tour again with Terence! I would say we got our money worth!
If laughter and glowing sea creatures could cure all life’s problems, The Florida Adventurer would be my new therapist. We did the bioluminescent kayak tour, and let me tell you — it poured so hard we could’ve used the kayaks as bathtubs. 🌧️ But did that stop us? Absolutely not! We were out there giggling like kids, jiggling cone jellies until they lit up like tiny disco balls, while glowing plankton sparkled all around us like Mother Nature’s rave. Our guide Brian deserves a comedy special — not only did he keep us laughing through the downpour, but he somehow made science sound like a stand-up routine. The man knows his plankton! 🤣 By the end of the night, we were drenched, glowing, and happier than we’d been in weeks. 10/10 would recommend — it’s cheaper than therapy, wetter than church camp, and way more magical. ✨🪼 Go. Even if it rains. Especially if it rains.
The owner of this company went over and beyond for my family and it doesnt go unnoticed. My husband wallet was lost during out tour, and the owner drove an hour just to help us search for it, thankfully it was found threw onto the dirt road. Overall the tour was fun but we didn't see much of the Bioluminescence.
Three friends and I booked a trip that day for 10:30pm. We live a little over 2 hours away. As we were getting close we got a phone call asking where we were and if we wanted to go out earlier. We were already schedule to get there before 10:30 because the website says to arrive early, but arrived very shortly after 10, and we’re on the water by 10:15 latest. Tour was nice and guide, Jeremiah, was knowledgeable and funny. It wasn’t the best night for bioluminescence (which is completely out of their control) but we still saw many jellyfish light up, and the night and weather was so relaxing one of my friends even kept saying that out loud on the raft. Unfortunately, Jeremiah had us back on the dock early and we had turned in our gear and were back on the road by 11:15. The whole party of 4 was shorted 1/3 of the trip. An email was sent by one person in the party and the manager, Josh, was rude saying the trip notes say we were out from 10-11:15 and are always accurate. However, the trip notes also said we asked to come in early and we were celebrating breast cancer remission, but none of us have had breast cancer and we didn’t ask to come in early and we weren’t even in the parking lot at 10 let alone had gear and the intro meeting. Josh was nasty, but offered to have two people come back out. We don’t want to go back out because we’ve done the tour and the closest people are two hours away, and one person doesn’t even live in the state. He stated the website says no refunds, but he didn’t care it also states 90 minutes on the water. Instead of being called a liar and told it’s because he has a lot of people calling him to scam him. I would of preferred he offered us nothing back and just listened and say he’d talk to his employees to ensure customers are given what they paid for. Maybe he gets a lot of calls because the trip notes are not accurate and his employees, while good guides, want to go home early. I will not use this company ever again and wouldn’t want anyone else to risk it. Find another tour or bring your own raft or kayak. You don’t need a clear kayak to enjoy the bioluminescence.
We appreciate the opportunity to respond to these multiple reviews you've left. We will identify the facts and experinces exerienced as reported in the tour notes, and address your concerns 1x1 thereafter. This is your email from the 31st On Wed, Sep 10, 2025 at 9:41 AM Kristina Wicks wrote: I am still waiting on any response from my email complaint on August 31. I am extremely upset that no one has even contacted me to go over what happened. This is unacceptable!!! I will copy and paste that email I sent to this email. I expect a call today! Thank you Kristina wicks 321-890-7095 From 8/31/25 Hello, My name is Kristina wicks and my friends and I had booked a raft bioluminescence tour on 8/30 at 10:30pm under Jennifer southern as the one who booked it. On our way to the tour we got a call from the guide asking us how far we were out. We were confused cuz we were on time to get there 30 min before as instructed. He said he just wanted to start early if he could. So we got there at 10 and in the water by 10:10 at the latest….. we then got off the boat at 11:15pm. I am not happy that we drove 4 hours round trip with a friend that came here from Spain to be charged full price for an hour tour not 90 min. I would some like money back to make things right. Jeremiah was nice but I don’t appreciate being shorted when that’s what was sold to me initially and I paid for 90 min. I would appreciate an email or call regarding this issue. Thank you. ******************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************* Ms Wicks, You were 1of 4 guests on a reservation made by Jennifer Southern @1:40pm on 8-30-2025 for a tour w/us on 8-31-2025 @10:30pm @Beacon 42 boat ramp, Titusville, Florida. Your tour experinced the Dinoflagellate plankton at a 6/10, and saw the luminessing Comb-jellyfish at 4/10. This specific tour also saw Great Blue Heron, mullet darting thru the water, dolphin, Night Crowned Heron, and some shrimp moving thru the luminessing plankton. This tour departed from Beacon 42 boat ramp, paddled out to the ICW (intercoastal waterway) and returned in a 10 person rafting option offer by Florida-Adventurer. The tour notes reflect Florida-Adventurer guide Jeremiah calling the guest prior to the launch time to see if they wanted to depart early, as the previous group of 8 had someone not feeling well, and wanted to come off the water early. Guests accpeted the offer and departed at 10p as opposed to the original start time of 10:30p. Tour notes reflect this tour was suppossed to start @10:30, actual departing time was 10p., returned @ 11:15p. Indicating a 15min early arrival back to shore. Notes reflect someone in the party was cancer free, assumed this was a celebratory trip as Jennifer Southern resides in California as communicated to the guide. The (562) area code of Jennifer Southerns reservation contact information confirms this. Notes reflect tour went well and guests asked to come back early, reflecting the 11:15 return to shore. Notes left reflect the 4 ladies had a blast. **Ms. Wicks called us @ 4:17pm, we retuned her call @ 4:59p. Ms Wicks was immediately demanding a partial “CASH” refund for herself and the 3 other guests. **Ms. Wicks is not the cardholder on file who paid for the reservation, nor is Ms. Wicks the person who made the reservation, on file. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Now we would like to respond w/ the facts of the email and phone call conversation. Ms Wicks, 1st of all ,we have a phone number that is answered 18hrs a day, everyday. You chose snail mail to seek a refund you felt should have been immediatley due to you right in the middle of our peak season. When we finally got through the hundreds of emails to reach yours, we called you immediately, we did not use the snail mail, as you chose, as it seemed very important to reply promptly to you. Ms. Wicks, you called us @ 4:17pm, we retuned your call @ 4:59p. Ms Wicks was immediately demanding a partial “CASH” refund for herself and the 3 other guests, claiming thier party was only otw for only 1hr, not the 90 minutes. After reviewing the tour notes left 30 minutes after your tour, that same night, it was noted that you indeed did come off the water 15 minutes early. You have accused the guide of flat out lying because he mentioned cancer remission as some sort of indication that his tour notes must not be accurate if he misuderstood the premis of the cancer survivor admission. We agreed to disagreed w/you. You started to become irate, just as you did in your email, when no one responded back to your email about a phone call, as seen above. We do not blindly issue refunds as all sales are final as can be seen on the website prior to your reservation, so it must be an extraordinary circumstance to recieve a refund from this comapany, as we are happy to issue rainchecks that do not expire, ever. That being said, 15 minutes off the water early is not an exraodinary event. Not to mention the tour started early, and the tour notes, again, reflect the group wanted to come back early. This is not uncommon as the bugs can be too much for some guests, so it not uncommon for a tour to wrap up a few minutes early. We did offer the group a raincheck of $120, which is a $30 person credit for a $60 per person activity. We offered to give you half of what you paid ($240), in a $120 credit to be used at anytime of your choosing in the future. However, this did not seem to be enough for you as you demanded a cash refund. There are few fundamantal issues w/your cash refund request; 1st off, you did not make this reservation, you were only a “guest" of the "Jennifer Southern” party. 2nd, and More importantly *YOU* did not pay for this reservation. Jennifer Souther paid for this reservation, using her own credit card w/Jennifer Southerns name on it from over 3000mi away. It is extremly scammy to call a comapany demanding a cash refund to your personal self, when your personal self has no payment information on file. How could we refund you even if we wanted to (which we did not!)??? It has been 4 days since FloridaAdventurer has called and texted Jennifer Southern, still w/no response on either medium. We will not bend the knee to someones demands of a personal refund when they never made a payment to us personally to begin with. I’m sure everyone who reads this reply will agree. We feel it is very common knowledge that the person who’s credit card was used to pay for something, should be the person who calls for THIER refund of THIER money spent, NOT someone who was only listed as a guest to the parties reservation name. Would Best Buy refund money to your cc if you did not have your cc info on the receipt ?!?!?!?! Absolutley NOT is the answer you should come up with. With that being said, the offer of the partial rainchecks still apply for the party under Jennifer Southern. However, since we have still not heard back from Jennifer Southern, and you demanded a refund of funds that did not come off any card assosiated w/you personally, we will not issue you you anything personally. We are happy to issue Jennifer Southern the rainchecks for the party. Since she is the one who paid for the tour, it is her who should recieve the rainchecks and disburse them as she see fit. We apologize if this causes you any confusion. You are also more than welcome to have Jennifer Southern reach out ,by any of the contact information we have for her on file, so we can get those rainchecks to her as soon as possible. We also appreciate the BBB allowing us to reply in the face of what appears to be, a malicious scam attempt, and to retain our A+ rating w/the Better Business Bureau! P.S. since it has now been 3 weeks and still no return call from Ms Southern, we have notifed the proper authorities of a potential fraud, since THE CARD HOLDER IS STILL YET TO CALL AND VALIDATE YOUR COMPLAINT, LET ALONE ANSWER THIER PHONE. Kindly, Team Florida Adventurer
I have never been treated so horribly by a company in my life. While driving to the site the guide called asking us to get there earlier than expected because he was ready to go. We were scheduled for a 10:30pm-12am time slot. We got into the water by 10:10pm we paddled around for a bit and then the guide told us we were heading in and we got back to our car by 11:15pm. So, we were all shorted 30 minutes on the raft. When I emailed and complained that we drove over 4 hours round trip and one person in our party had come from Spain to do this I never got a response back. I wrote another email over a week later stating I’ve been waiting for a response. I had 1 call from Josh today (he claims 3 but I have proof of only 1) which I missed since I was working. I called back when I was home and left a message. I was not called back instead I got a nasty email saying my group asked to go in early and he is not offering any refunds. Josh claims that his tour guides notes are never wrong and we are lying yet…. The notes state that one of us in the party was celebrating breast cancer remission and that is 100% incorrect and the notes also say that we asked to go in early which also never happened. No one in my group complained of bugs we were all saying how relaxing and nice it was. Josh continues to swear that his employees never lie so it has to be the customer. I just find it odd that the tour ahead of us asked to go in early and supposedly we did too… seems to be Jeremiah had other plans that evening and wanted to go do that instead of working and made his notes reflect that. I will never use or recommend this company. Josh is incredibly rude, nasty and unprofessional. Save your money and time or pick another company if you want to get your moneys worth.

My girlfriend and I were supposed to go out on our tour last year but due to a bad lightning storm we ended up getting canceled and were given rainchecks. They were the easiest and fastest to rebook for our rainchecks from last year super fast and simple. Then on to the BEST part! This year the night we went was absolutely beautiful couldn't have asked for better. We had a small group which was nice and our leader was amazing, super nice, funny and extremely informative. We were able to see the Bioluminescents and he even have us all turns to use the net numerous times to catch the comb jellys and hold them and see how the light up. It was so much fun and really neat to see. Padding through the jumping mullet was very funny and entertaining also. We were able to see some beautiful nighttime birds hunting for fish. I would HIGHLY recommend doing this tour it is very worth your time you won't be disappointed and it's not something you'll forget! Don't forget the bug spray though when your by shorelines those suckers are brutal!
I went with my sister on the bioluminescent tour in the nature preserve in right outside Titusville in my tour guide was freedom. She was awesome, super laid-back and chill. Had a great kayak in the bay or the lagoon and we saw bioluminescence and she took her pictures and send them to us and everything was well organized and located me and my sister really enjoyed experience thank you so much.
The trip was awesome. We had a great night and got to see the bio vividly. We had 5 plus our tour guide, Freedom, in a raft. Very sturdy, my mother felt comfortable in the vessel. We saw shooting stars and the moon rose later into the trip and looked awesome! Freedom was a great tour guide and had a lot of knowledge about the area and the wildlife. Would recommend to wear long clothes, the mosquitos do not care about bug spray.
