Yoshi was great and so kind. Took us to the major stops in arashimaya and his favorite tonkotsu restaurant! To be honest I don’t think you need a guide to explore arashimaya though
I loved the tour. It was a very calm and peaceful tour. Really enjoyed the tour. Our guide was very friendly and very interactive. He’s really fun and energetic. Loved it.
Had a great day. Corentin was amiable and a good communicator. Shared his insights and knowledge and even took on the role of photographer.
We had a fantastic tour with Kyoko. She was flexible and accommodating, and we had time to see all the sites we requested. She also helped us get to our next destination, as well as gave us helpful information on places to eat, shop, local specialties, and interesting stories about the various sites. We were allowed plenty of breaks when we needed it (and I certainly needed it on the climb up to see the monkeys...it's a steep, but doable, uphill climb), and she made sure that we weren't overwhelmed or tired. If you plan on feeding the monkeys, she asked which the monkeys liked more and at least when we went it was the apples. I was also able to get goshuin at the various shrines/temples we saw, as well as bought some souvenirs for the family back home. Kyoko was also very friendly and personable, and she had excellent English. I would definitely recommend using her as a guide no matter what your interests are. History, shopping, fun facts, general questions...she makes a great guide and time will seem to pass by quickly.
Our guide, Masa, was great! The highlight was the walk up the mountain to see the monkeys!! Then lovely sites such as Kimono Forest, bamboo forest, and Tenryu-ji- castle. Lots of walking but still had time for lunch and a coffee break!
Our guide, Masa, taught us a lot about Kyoto and the history. He went at an easy pace allowing us time to get souvenirs. The highlight was seeing and feeding the monkeys!!
We had an amazing tour with Mr. Masa. He was very friendly and kind especially to our children. We had a great tour with him.
We had a great day with our guide Kai. The Bamboo Forest was busy, but very pretty and the gardens around the temples were so beautiful and peaceful. Kai was very informative and happy to have a chat while walking around. For lunch we asked him for suggestions and he took us to a great little shop that had yummy and filling food for great prices. We finished the planned tour early so Kai took us for a walk along the river to a lovely little temple that was just the place to finish off the day - calm, quiet, peaceful. All you could hear were the birds and the rain.
Nice tour. More history about sites and culture would have made it better.
Friendly and patient guide. Also great choice of places. Kiyoshi was great with us and helped around with choices of food and locations for pictures. Be ready for a long walk however beautiful sights. Loved it!
