Meteora is a must-see destination in Greece
It was a long trip, but absolutely worth it! The four-hour bus ride each way was comfortable, and we had a restroom stop along the way where we could stretch our legs and enjoy coffee and some delicious Greek food.
Our local tour guide, Eva, was knowledgeable, friendly, and very helpful, especially when it came to taking pictures. At times we felt a little rushed, but that’s understandable given how much there is to see on a single-day trip. The organizers did a great job of making the most of the time we had.
Meteora is truly spectacular, and seeing the monasteries perched on top of those incredible rock formations was an unforgettable experience. I’m very glad we made the trip and highly recommend this tour!

Excellent Meteora Day Trip with lunch
Early start with a late evening was a bit hard - 7am to 9pm, but, well worth the trip. From the friendly greeting when we first boarded the coach. Yiorgos was a careful and excellent driver. Once we arrived in Kalambata for our lunch break (which was at a local family restaurant, where the staff were very friendly and the food was good) we were met by Frederica, our guide for the afternoon to the Meteora monastries. Rici was friendly and extremely knowledgeable. Arranged for stops at scenic routes along the way for photo opportunities. Rici made the trip both interesting and informative. If you're thinking that this is a long trip to make from Athens for the day please take the plunge - it's worth it!

Great one day tour!
Meteora is amazing, awesome views and beautiful monasteries you definitely don't wanna miss. Eva was super kind and takes amazing pictures! Food was great and we got enough time for photos and wondering. Take cash! You need it for the monastery entry fee.

An Amazing Day Trip to Meteora – Well Organized and Absolutely Worth It
The tour to Meteora, Greece, was an amazing experience. The area itself is absolutely wonderful, with breathtaking rock formations and stunning scenery.
The ride was long, but absolutely worth it! Everything was very well organized and ran right on time.
Our tour guide, Freideriki, was wonderful. As I understood, she was from the area, so she knew all the best photo spots and gave us lots of interesting and useful information throughout the tour. She was very friendly, helpful, and organized, and she even offered to take photos of us, which was nice.
Our bus drivers, George and Kostas, were both highly skilled. They drove very carefully and professionally, especially on the mountain roads. I always felt safe and comfortable during the journey.
Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Meteora!

Definitely worth going
I had the best day and would really recommend this trip. Out guide Frederiki was friendly, enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the area. The Meteora monasteries and the rock formations around We’re breathtakingly beautiful.
Despite there being a coach load of people, she made sure everyone had a good day and was really clear with instructions for return times. There were enough stops on the journey that it didn’t feel too much despite being a long day out.

Recommended experience
Beautiful experience, a bit demanding to do in one day but it is worth it.

Great experience
Great experience and good value for money. Trip was very well organised with staff cooperating from the start early morning to the very end back in Athens.
Be aware it's an all day tour, with at least 4h drive each way. Because it's far from Athens, you will not be able to stay too long in any of the monasteries, which is understandable.
You enter 2 monasteries which was enough for me + you stop at others to take photos.
Lunch at the restaurant was good, nothing special, but good portion and definitely worth paying extra.
Be aware that you need to be fit to reach monasteries by stairs/slopes.
I saw people struggling a lot with those, so it's not for everyone.
The only minus was the group size. A bit overcrowded, even though full big coach was provided, every single seat was occupied, including 5 tight seats at the very back, which wasn't very comfortable for such a long trip.
In overall, great trip and would definitely recommend.
