Our guide was Minh who was pleasant and courteous and clearly proud of the beautiful region where he lives and works. On the day it was hammering down non stop with rain. Minh kindly arranged a covered motor boat rather than the open top paddle boats. The first pagoda had a stream of water running through it due to the weather. This made walking very difficult. Please be aware that although we chose the cable car there are still a lot of steps. One of the benefits for us was that due to the terrible weather there were only a handful of people there so we got to enjoy it at our leisure. The scenery was really beautiful and well worth the walking and soaking

The scents are not permanent, it obviously depends on the seasons: in August there are none! To get to the pagoda, there is an hour of boat navigation. But be careful, not just any boat. We had done the experience on two other outings the previous days, and everything had gone correctly. In the present case, one must consider: the duration and the comfort. The duration is two times one hour: there and back. On the way there it is average but on the way back it is painful. The benches of the boats are different from those we had used the two previous times: they are lower and made of sheet metal without a backrest, so when you are 1.87 m tall and you are 78 years old and have some joint problems, it is torture! Furthermore, it was raining and the access to the cable car was very slippery, therefore impassable except perhaps with mountain boots, so I stayed at the bottom. I ran into some young English people who discouraged me from any attempt to make the journey! In short, unfortunately these details are not in the guidebooks Very disappointed

Very poor communication re pick up and no one messaged day before re tour. When contacted tour said return time was 6-730pminstead of 6pm as advertised. Wouldn’t give us guides contact number. Would recommend booking with another company that does small group

This was a beautiful day trip outside from Hanoi. Visiting the perfume pagoda was a unique experience. I definitely recommend this tour.

Very nice tour. Pick-up/drop off, bus, and all logistics worked well. Minh the guide was engaging and helpful. Perfume Pagoda area was essentially empty when we went so a nice, quiet experience.

Quite a long day with quite a lot of walking on uneven surfaces. A great day out and we'll worth the money. Minh the guide was absolutely brilliant with lots of knowledge about the area.

Great experience. December is the low season for this destination, which made the experience feel very intimate. The boat ride was incredibly serene, accompanied only by the gentle sound of the oars touching the water and birds singing. The pagoda is superb. Absolutely a must-see!

Even better experience than I was expected! Excellent and comfy bus for transportation which is a huge plus, great guide and the highlight is the rowing part. The landscapes are incredible!
