We really enjoyed our “Skip the Cable Car” tour in Santorini. After getting off our ship’s tender, we took another ferry from the old port and then traveled by bus to several villages, including Oia, Megalochori, and Perivolos. We had lunch at a restaurant on the black sand beach, which was a nice way to end our sightseeing. Our guide was wonderful—very knowledgeable and never made us feel rushed. She gave us plenty of time for photos and even offered to take pictures of us with our own cameras. It was a great way to see a lot of Santorini without having to deal with the cable car!

This excursion was the best yet! Alex was patient, explained things very well, gave us a comprehensive review of the island, and took us to a WONDERFUL place to eat called 41.

Trip seemed a little chaotic at first as meeting time changed and there was no one at the meeting point initially. Large group was put into a boat to transfer to dock avoiding the cable car but once we arrived we were all split into smaller luxury buses. Our guide was excellent and knowledgeable and ensured the whole group were looked after. Great way to see Santorini in a short space of time. Would liked to have spent more time in places but the sheer numbers of people from the cruise ships made it impossible to get around quickly. Great restaurant recommendation from the guide too and we got back in perfect time for the boat to take us back to the tender.

My partner and I wanted to explore Santorini during our cruise without joining a huge tour group. This was a very good fit for us. The group was small, so it never felt chaotic, and we could actually hear the guide and ask questions along the way. Our guide was genuinely pleasant and knew a lot about the island. We learned things we probably wouldn't have discovered just walking around on our own. The views were, of course, incredible, especially when we stopped in areas where we could simply take everything in. The modern air-conditioned transportation was a big plus after being outside in the sun. We also really liked the fast access by water because it reduced the amount of time spent dealing with the busy port area. Most importantly, we returned with enough time before the tender. For a cruise passenger, that peace of mind is worth a lot.

It was a bit special for both of us. Since this was just after our wedding, we especially enjoyed the quieter moments where we could simply enjoy the views together. Perivolos Beach was a nice change of pace to, and having some time there made the tour feel less like sightseeing stop after sightseeing stop. One tip: if you're visiting Blue dome church, give yourself a little patience around the crowds.

First of all our driver and guide were fantastic and they took us everywhere and told us about all the history and we loved them! We will all be friends for life! I highly recommend this experience!!!!!

I was traveling solo on a cruise and wanted something more structured than exploring Santorini completely on my own, but I also didn't want to spend the day in a massive tour group. This worked very well for me. The small group atmosphere made it easy to meet a few other travelers while still having plenty of personal space. The guide was informative without talking nonstop, and I appreciated being able to ask questions about local history and everyday life on the island. Transportation was comfortable and air-conditioned, which was definitely needed during the warmer parts of the day. The fast water access was another major benefit because I didn't have to spend precious cruise-port time waiting around. I was especially impressed with how seriously the return schedule was taken. Being alone on a cruise makes missing the tender something you really don't want to risk, so knowing the excursion was planned around the ship's schedule made the whole day much more relaxing.

The sky tram was a really great part. The quick ride resulted a more time, and glad we had genius guide who make it work.

We booked this excursion as a group of friends and were mainly hoping for two things: see as much of Santorini as possible and not have any drama getting back to the cruise. Both worked out. The water access was fast and saved us from what could have been a lot of waiting. Once we were on the island, our guide kept things moving at a comfortable pace. He spoke excellent English and had plenty of local knowledge, but the experience never felt like a school lesson. We could ask questions, stop for photos, and enjoy the views. The small group size made the whole day more flexible than a large organized cruise tour. We also really appreciated the air-conditioned transportation because the afternoon heat was intense. Everyone in our group mentioned the same thing afterward: we never felt rushed, but somehow the schedule worked perfectly. Being returned in time for the tender was a huge part of that. Santorini can be a little intimidating when you're looking at cruise-day crowds, but this made the whole experience surprisingly straightforward.
